The funeral of Monroe M. East, whose death resulting from injuries he received when hit by an Ohio Electric car, was announced by this paper Saturday, will be held from the United Brethren church in Elida at 10:30 o'clock Monday morning. Interment in Greenlawn cemetery, between the villages of Elida and Allentown.

Violetta G. Edgington,64,of Lima, died at 9:23 p.m. Monday, in St. Rita's Medical Center. She was born Jan. 22, 1928, in Holgate,the daughter of Bernard and Emma (Kirian) Homier. In Oc?tober of 1946, she married Robert H. Edgington, who survives. Mrs. Edgington was a home?maker. She was a member of the VFW Post 1275 Auxiliary. Survivors also include two sisters, Marie Gangluff of Sandusky and Lucille Brecht of Ottawa. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Shawnee Chapel of Chiles and Sons-Laman Funeral Home, Rev. Dennis A. Meyer officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday the funeral home.

Funeral services for Robert H. Eilerman, 30, who died at 10 p.m. Tuesday at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. H.J. Eilerman, 637 S. Elizabeth-st, will be at 9 a.m. Friday at St. John's Catholic church. the Rev. Leonard Plunnianns, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Gethsemani cemetery. Mr. Eilerman had been ill for several weeks. Rose Emminger
A woman well known about the city as "Dutch Rose", her true name Rose Emminger, whose place of residence is 819 north Union street, while descending the stairs leading from the first to the ground floor of the Metropolitan block last night about ten o'clock, lost her balance and pitched headfirst to the tile floor below. She had just delivered washings to some of the roomers of the block and from their testimony it seems was under the influence of liquor. When assistance reached her it was found that her neck had been broken, causing instant death. The remains were removed to the undertaking parlors of Williams & Davis and prepared for burial. The funeral will be held from the residence tomorrow afternoon at two o'clock and burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery.

Delphos -- Funeral services were to be held Wednesday afternoon in St. John's church for Louis Anthony Etgen, seven-months-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Etgen, living three miles south of Ottoville. Burial will be in St. John's cemetery. Besides his parents, he leaves one sister, Rita.

Earl D. Etling
Funeral arrangements were being made Saturday for Earl Daniel Etling, 38, world war veteran and Lima furniture merchant, who died early Friday night at his home, 567 W. Elm-st. Death was caused by cerebral hemorrhage. He had been ill only one day, and his condition was not believed serious. He is survived by his father, D. H. Etling, and a sister, Miss Julis Etling. He was manager of the D. h. Etling furniture store. Etling enlisted in Company C, of the second Infantry regiment, Ohio National Guard, before the World war. When the national guard companies were federalized for World war service, he enlisted in Company M, of the 145th regiment, 37th Ohio Division. Later, he served overseas in Company B, of the 41st Engineers. His service in Europe extended from Feb. 25, 1918 to July 4, 1919. He was a member of William Paul Gallagher American Legion Post and the Forty and Eight society of the Legion. In 1928, he Accompanied the American Legion to its annual convention held in Paris.

D.S. Evans
D.S. Evans, 75, of two miles northwest of Gomer, died at 8 p.m. Monday in Memorial hospital, where he had been admitted Friday. He had been ill six months. Mr. Evans was born Nov. 10, 1874, in Gomer, and retired two years ago from his insurance agency in Gomer. He was a member of the Congregational Christian church in Gomer. Surviving are his widow, Anna McBride Evans, whom he married Jan. 18, 1899; a nephew, Herschel Brenneman at home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Gomer church, with the Rev. Aaron Downs officiating. Burial will be in Gomer cemetery. The body will remain in Harter and Son funeral home, Delphos until services.

John Sherman Ewing
Funerals services for John Sherman Ewing, of 520 W. Wayne-st, will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Central Church of Christ, with Rev. Paul Runk officiatinig.He was a 32nd Degree Mason and was affiliated with that group at Dayton. He was a member of the local Masonic Lodge, No. 205.Surviving are his daughter Mrs. Berda Ewing of Lima; three grandchildren, Mrs. W. K. Baker, Ft. Wayne, Ind., Harry Ewing of Robinson, Ill., and Mrs. Sam Owens of Virginia Beach, Va. Also surviving is one great-grandchild, Jeffrey Baker of Ft. Wayne.
