Funeral services for Mrs. Jesse Hudson, 85, formerly of St. Marys, who died Wednesday in the Auglaize-co Infirmary following an extended illness, were held at 2 p.m. Friday in a W. Auglaize-st funeral home with Rev. George Herd officiating. Burial was made in Evergreen cemetery. She was born Oct 27, 1853, in Brooklyn, N.Y. and with her husband came to make their home in St. Marys in 1900. Both were admitted to the home in 1925. Her husband preceded her in death. She was a member of First Methodist church. A stepson and stepdaughter survive.

Charles F. Elsass, 61, of Wapakoneta Route 4, died at 4:30 a.m. Monday at Memorial hospital, from injuries received Dec 29 in an auto accident four miles east of Uniopolis. He is survived by his widow, Emma and one son, Fred, at home; four brothers; John and Samuel, of Wapakoneta; Michael of Jackson Center, and Christ of Wapakoneta, Route 5, and five sisters; Mrs. Adam Rinehart, Mrs. Lewis Blank and mrs. Mary Kemper, of Wapakoneta; Mrs. Lewis Mann, of Wapakoneta, Route 5, and Mrs. William Schuman of St. John's, Route 1. The body will remain at the Umbaugh and Bayliff funeral home where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday. rev. E.J. Penhorwood, pastor of the South Side Church of Christ, will officiate and burial will be in Fairmount cemetery, near Uniopolis.

John E. (Jack) Fike, 56, former oil driller, died at his home here Monday after an illness dating back to last June. Surviving are his widow, Blanche Wesner Fike, a stepson, Alfred Wesner, and two brothers, Isom Fike, of St. Marys, and O.W. Fike of Roundhead. Funeral services will be Wednesday afternoon at his late residence with Rev. Frank Hamblen officiating. Burial will be in Elmgrove cemetery.

Funeral services for Mrs. Wilhelmina Merkle, 74, widow of John Merkle, who died Sunday at her home, 715 W. Auglaize-st, after a two-week illness due to heart trouble, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the residence with Rev. R.J. Loew, pastor of St. Paul's Evangelical and Reformed church officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn cemetery. One son, and three daughters and a brother survive.

Funeral services for Miss Nellie Chambers, 52, of this city, who died at noon Tuesday at the home of a brother, C.E. Chambers, in Lima after a four day illness due to paralysis will be held here at 2 p.m. Thursday with Rev. George Herd, pastor of First Methodist church, officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph cemetery.
Her death followed that of a brother, Orlando, who died less than a month ago in a  Middletown hospital from injuries received when he fell from a railroad bridge on which he was working. She made her home here on Wheeler Lane until two weeks ago when she went to live with her brother. A sister Mrs. Lewis Jones of this city and the brother survive.

Mrs. Cal Kennedy, 73, died late Wednesday at her home on Murray-st, after an extended illness due to complications of diseases. She was born Mar 1, 1866 the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lindermuth in Waynesfield. She was a member of First Methodist church. Surviving are the husband and two nephews, the latter both of Marion, Ind.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in a local funeral home on S. Blackhoof-st with Rev. George Herd, pastor of First Methodist church, officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Hill cemetery at New Hampshire.

Funeral services for John Puthoff, 70, native of Minster, who died Friday in the Auglaize-co Infirmary, will be held at 9 a.m. Monday in St. Joseph Catholic church with Rev. Henry Balster officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph cemetery.
He was born Nov 1, 1869, in Minster. He died at noon Friday following an extended illness due to complications of diseases. No immediate relatives survive.

WAPAKONETA,    Aug.    1 —  Funeral services for Henry Benro Sellers. 63, who died Wednesday afternoon at the Auglaize-co home where he had been an inmate for three years, following an extended illness due to complications of diseases, will be held at 10 a.m.Saturday in the  Umbaugh and Bayliff funeral home at Cridersville with Rev. Jesse Shaw, pastor, of   St. Matthew's Lutheran church, officiating. Burial will be in St. Matthew's cemetery. Surviving are  two brothers, Grover of Cridersville, and Charles of near here, and three sisters, Mrs. Rosetta Burden, Mrs. Eliza Fryer and Mrs. Ella Brautigam all of near here.

ST. MARYS, Aug. 3—The body of William Kinkley, 31, who drowned Friday at Huffman dam, near Osborn, was brought Friday night by Undertaker W. E. Yoder to the home of his father, Oscar Kinkley, St. Marys. Kinkley is survived by his father and stepmother, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Kinkley; a sister, Mrs. Thelma Clark of Wisconsin ; three half-sisters, Mrs. Clara Baker, Theresa and Mary Kinkley and one half-brother, John Kinkley, all of St. Marys. His wife, who has been ill for some time, recently went from their home in Dayton to the home of her parents in Celina.  

WAPAKONETA, Aug. 3—Mrs. Catherine Schaub, 85, widow of John Schaub, died Saturday evening at the home of her son, Fred S. Blackhoof-st, of complications after an illness of one week. She was a member of St. Paul 's Evangelical and Reformed church the Women's Union and the church Bible class. Surviving are three sons, Henry, Fred and Otto, all of here; one daughter, Mrs. J. C. McKinney of Cleveland, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and the body will remain at the Heinl Bros, and Son funeral home here until the services.

She was horn Jan.8, 1867. the daughter of William and Genevieve Schneider, She was a member of St. Joseph church and was affiliated with the Christian Mothers sodality. Surviving arc the husband: two sons. Paul Moell and William Rotter, the latter by a previous marriage, both of here; a daughter. Mrs. Emil Hardtke of Chicago. and three brothers, Paul and Joseph Schneider of here and Charles Schneider of Union City . Funeral services will be held at 9 a. m. Tuesday in St. Joseph church with Rev. Henry Balster officiating. Burial will he in St. Joseph cemetery, with arrangements in charge of Heinl Bros. and Son.

WAPAKONETA - James W Kellerman, 66. died at 1:30 pm Saturday at his residence following He was born Feb 10, 1896 in Mercer County, the son of Henry and Elizabeth Burd Kellerman. On Sept 10, 1917 he married Gilva M. Craft, who died Oct. 24, 1973. Mr. Kellerman was a retired farmer. He was a member of American Legion Post 330. Fraternal Order of the Eagles Aerie 691 and Disabled American Veterans in Waynesfield. He served with the Army during World War I. Survivors include two sons, Charles C. ( Bud) Kellerman of rural Wapakoneta and Gordon L. Kellerman of Sidney ; two daughters. Mrs. Everett (Onnolee) Stroh of St. Marys and Mrs. Austin (Eloise) Hoverman of Satellite
Beach, Fla ; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Bayiiff and Son Funeral Home, Cridersville.  Rev. Carl Miller officiating Burial will be in Fort Amanda Cemetery . Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home

ST. MARYS - Otis  B. Chilcoat, 84, of St. Marys, died a! 6:35 a. m. today in Veterans Administration Hospital  in Dayton , where he was admitted on Dec. 7. He had been in ill health for the past three years. Born Dec . 3, 1887. in Decatur, Ind., he was a son of George and Liza Jane (Bannon) Chilcoat. Mr. Chilcoat was an employe of St. Marys Foundry until his retirement in 1953. He served with the U. S. Army during World War I. He was preceded in death by his first two wives, Lew Hubble and Minnie Heath. Survivors include his widow, Fdith Shinaberry whom he married Sept. 14,1953;  five sons,  Charles, Ernest and Homer, all of St Marys, Rafe of Buckland and Lowell  ( Johnny) of Wapakoneta: two daughters. Mrs. Vernon (Betty) Stolzenburg of Wapakoneta,  Mrs. Glen ( Blanch) Muter of Montezuma; three step-children Donald I. Rogers and Harvey Russell, both of St. Marys and Mrs. Don (Dorothy)| Schneider of New Bremen; 47 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. Thursday in the Yoder-Long and Folk Funeral Home in St Marys with the Rev. L H. Anderson officiating. Burial will he in Resthaven Memory Gardens, St. Marys. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to9 p. m. Wednesday.

DELPHOS — Raymond J. Kinstle, 68, of Delphos died at 3:10 a. m. today in St Rita's Hospital, Lima , following a two month illness. Born March 28, 1903, in St. Johns , he was a son of Joseph and Barbara (Meier) Kinstle. Survivors include his widow Hulda (Kupper) Kinstle; a son,
R. Richard Kinstle of Delphos; four brothers. Edwin of Bodkins. Clarence. Harold and Leonard, all of Wapakoneta; a sister. Mrs. Frayne (Marie) Combs of Wapakoneta; and six grandchildren. Two sisters and a brother are deceased. Mr. Kinstle was a general contractor in Delphos prior to his retirement, and was a member of St. John Catholic Church. Mass of the resurrection will be recited at 9:30 a. m. Saturday in the church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery , Wapakoneta. Friends may call at the Kolkmeyer-Helmkamp Funeral Home. NEW BREMEN - Lula A. Dicke, 90, of here, died al 9:50 a.m. Thursday at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital , St. Marys. She was born Oct. 15, 1901, in Matilda Township , Ontario , Canada, the daughter of William J. and Sarah Coarse Thompson. On April 9, 1955, she married Oscar  H. Dicke, who died Feb. 7, 1971. Mrs. Dicke was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ. She was a homemaker. Survivors include one stepson, Dr. Robert H. Dicke of Princeton , N.J. ; three step-grandchildren; and six step-great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Gilberg Funeral Home, with Rev. Jeffrey R. Gerber officiating. Burial will be in German Protestant Cemetery . Friends may call from 1 p.m. until time of services Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Paul United Church of Christ Memorial Fund.

Waynesfield - Walter E. (Gene) Flinn, 70, of Lima and formerly of here died at 9:51 a.m. Wednesday in the emergency room of Lima Memorial Hospital. He was born June 8, 1917, in Auglaize County , the son of Lemual H. and Mabel Whetstone Flinn.  On Nov 22. 1939,  he married Betty Motter. who died July 17, 1982. Mr. Flinn was a retired farmer
and was retired from Lima State Hospital .  He was n member of Waynesfield United Methodist Church and attended Forest Part United Methodist Church. He was a member of Wayne Masonic Lodge, Waynesfield  and was affiliated with the World Gospel Mission in Marion, Ind. Survivors include a son, Michael Flinn of Cridersville; a daughter, Linda Winegardner of St. Louis;  seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Brooks Flinn of
Lima and Claude Flinn of Wayneafield. Services will be at 10:30 a. m. Saturday at Robinson Funeral Home, Waynesfield, Rev. Marlon L. Hanover officiating  Burial will be in Falrmount Cemetery ,. Uniopolis. Friends may call 7 to 9 tonight and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made lo the World Gospel Mission.

Robert J. Tobens, 31, died at 3:30 p.m. Aug 23, 1994, at Lima Memorial hospital. He was born Nov. 26,  1932 in St. Marys. to John A  and Appolona  (Nuseman) Tobens. On Sep 15, 1956. he married Alice Langmeyer who survives. Mr. Tobens  was a self-employed salesman and had been coordinator of recycling in St. Marys. He was  a 1951 graduate of Memorial  High  School in St. Marys. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9289, St. Marys where he was president of the Clown Unit; the American Legion Post 323; where he was past commander; the Disabled American Veterans Fort Barbee Chapter 119; Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 767;  the Celine Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge fourth degree Knights of  Columbus and the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. He  was an Army veteran having served from 1952 to 1954. Survivors  include  four sons, Dean Tobens of Tokyo . John Tobens of Neptune, Ted Tobens of Bennington, Vt.,  and Benjamin Tobens at home; three sisters Martha Scherer of St. Marys,  Carol Long of Orlando, Fla., and  Catherine "Beck" Rhodes. of Fayette, Ala.; and seven grandchildren. He preceded in death by a sister. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a. m. Saturday at the church, the  Rev. David Heinl will officiate.  Burial in Gethsemane Cemetery St.  Marys, with full military rites will  be conducted by the VFW and  American  Legion Posts. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p m Friday al Miller Fuleral Home St Marys, where the  American legion will hold a  memorial service at 7 p.m. followed by a prayer service at 8:45 p.m.

WAPAKONETA - Services will be at 10:30 a.m Saturday at the First English Lutheran Church for Vernon M Lanning, 89. He died at 6:30 a.m. Wednesday at his home following a two-month illness. He was born Jan. I6, 1893, in Wapakoneta, the son of William and Mary Winemiller Lanning. His  wife Edna, died Jan 15,1979. Mr. Lanning was a rural letter carrier on Wapakoneta Route 6 for 39 years. He was also a retired farmer. He was a life member of the First English Lutheran Church , a member of the Rural Letter Carriers Association and American Legion He was a veteran of World War I. Survivors include a son, Alvin Lanning of Wapakoneta: and four daughters. Geneura Lanning of Wapakoneta, Mrs. John L. (Guinevere) Smith of Wilmington, Mrs. John W. (Vernita) Mould of Oxford and Mrs. William (Vernoleen) Elliott of Piqua. Rev. H. Eldon Akerman will officiate for the services. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery . Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Charles D. Siferd Funeral Home.

WAPAKONETA - Helen Wreede Mox. 79. or here, died at 8:15 an Saturday at Auglaize Acres. Mrs. Mox was born Nov.1,1912, in Middle Point the daughter of Vaughn E and Jennie Manship Ladd lo December 1931 she married Roy Wreede, who died in November 1950. In  September 1961, the married Lloyd Ware who died in April 1973,  in November 1974 she married Clarence Mox who died in November 1980. A homemaker, Mrs. Mox was a member of St Marks Lutheran Church in Wapakoneta and its Deborah Circle.  She was a former member of Wapakoneta Senior Citizens. Survivors include three sons, Edison Wreede of Celina,  William Wreede of Rushsylvania and Ray Wreede of Plant City , Fla. one daughter. Mrs. Curtis (Barbara) Copeland of Wapakoneta. 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, and one brother John Ladd of Big Rapids, Mich. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St Marks Lutheran Church, Wapakoneta. Rev. Timothy R Swanton officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery , New Hampshire. Friends may call 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Patrick Heinl Chapel of Bayllff and Eley Funeral Homes, Wapakoneta.  The body will lie in state from 9:30 a. m. until time of services Tuesday at the church. ST. MARYS - Elizabeth E. Larkin, 89. died at 6:20 p.m. Sunday at Valley Nursing Home. St. Marys. She was born May 6, 1903, in
Auglaize County , the daughter of August and Emma (Ladd) Shelby. On June 3. 1923. she married J. Thomas Larkin, who died Jan. 21, 1986. Mrs. Larkin was a homemaker. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and its Altar Rosary Society. Survivors include two daugh-
ters. Kathleen Klosterman of St. Marys and Mrs. Joe (Jane) Lersky of Celina; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Wilbur Shelby, Francis Shelby and Frederick Shelby; and three sisters, Lillian Moering, Leona Allen and Clara Greene. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Rev. David A. Heinl officiating. Burial
will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, St. Marys. Friends may call 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Long and Folk Funeral Home, St. Marys Chapel.

Mildred M. Lannlng, 70, of Cridersville, died a 3: 20 am today in Lima Memorial  Hospital. She was born in Marion, Ind.. Oct 7, 1907,  the daughter of Linton and Minnie (Chamberlin) Numbers. She married Melvin M Lanning, who survives. Survivors in addition to her husband
include a son. Larry Lanning of Cridersville, a daughter, Mrs. William (Helen June) Hackman of Russells Point, eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, two brothers, Robert Numbers of Cridersville and William Numbers of Lima , and two sisters, Mrs. Homer (Ann)
DeLong, and Mrs. Joseph (Geraldine) Bowers, both of Cridersville. Services will be Thursday at 10: 30 a.m. in Bayllff and Sons Funeral
Home, Cridersville, with the Rev. Willard Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Fairmont Cemetery ,Uniopolis. Friends may call at the funeral
home today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to4 and 7 to9 pm, Thursday.
