Wapakoneta
Funeral services for Mrs. Jesse Hudson, 85, formerly of St. Marys,
who died Wednesday in the Auglaize-co Infirmary following an extended
illness, were held at 2 p.m. Friday in a W. Auglaize-st funeral home
with Rev. George Herd officiating. Burial was made in Evergreen
cemetery. She was born Oct 27, 1853, in Brooklyn, N.Y. and with her
husband came to make their home in St. Marys in 1900. Both were admitted
to the home in 1925. Her husband preceded her in death. She was a member
of First Methodist church. A stepson and stepdaughter survive.

Charles F. Elsass, 61, of Wapakoneta Route 4, died at 4:30 a.m.
Monday at Memorial hospital, from injuries received Dec 29 in an auto
accident four miles east of Uniopolis. He is survived by his widow, Emma
and one son, Fred, at home; four brothers; John and Samuel, of
Wapakoneta; Michael of Jackson Center, and Christ of Wapakoneta, Route
5, and five sisters; Mrs. Adam Rinehart, Mrs. Lewis Blank and mrs. Mary
Kemper, of Wapakoneta; Mrs. Lewis Mann, of Wapakoneta, Route 5, and Mrs.
William Schuman of St. John's, Route 1. The body will remain at the
Umbaugh and Bayliff funeral home where funeral services will be held at
2 p.m. Wednesday. rev. E.J. Penhorwood, pastor of the South Side Church
of Christ, will officiate and burial will be in Fairmount cemetery, near
Uniopolis.

John E. (Jack) Fike, 56, former oil driller, died at his home here
Monday after an illness dating back to last June. Surviving are his
widow, Blanche Wesner Fike, a stepson, Alfred Wesner, and two brothers,
Isom Fike, of St. Marys, and O.W. Fike of Roundhead. Funeral services
will be Wednesday afternoon at his late residence with Rev. Frank
Hamblen officiating. Burial will be in Elmgrove cemetery.

Funeral services for Mrs. Wilhelmina Merkle, 74, widow of John Merkle,
who died Sunday at her home, 715 W. Auglaize-st, after a two-week
illness due to heart trouble, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the
residence with Rev. R.J. Loew, pastor of St. Paul's Evangelical and
Reformed church officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn cemetery. One
son, and three daughters and a brother survive.

Funeral services for Miss Nellie Chambers, 52, of this city, who died
at noon Tuesday at the home of a brother, C.E. Chambers, in Lima after a
four day illness due to paralysis will be held here at 2 p.m. Thursday
with Rev. George Herd, pastor of First Methodist church, officiating.
Burial will be in St. Joseph cemetery.
Her death followed that of a brother, Orlando, who died less than a
month ago in a Middletown hospital from injuries received when he
fell from a railroad bridge on which he was working. She made her home
here on Wheeler Lane until two weeks ago when she went to live with her
brother. A sister Mrs. Lewis Jones of this city and the brother survive.

Mrs. Cal Kennedy, 73, died late Wednesday at her home on Murray-st,
after an extended illness due to complications of diseases. She was born
Mar 1, 1866 the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lindermuth in Waynesfield. She
was a member of First Methodist church. Surviving are the husband and
two nephews, the latter both of Marion, Ind.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in a local funeral
home on S. Blackhoof-st with Rev. George Herd, pastor of First Methodist
church, officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Hill cemetery at New
Hampshire.

Funeral services for John Puthoff, 70, native of Minster, who died
Friday in the Auglaize-co Infirmary, will be held at 9 a.m. Monday in
St. Joseph Catholic church with Rev. Henry Balster officiating. Burial
will be in St. Joseph cemetery.
He was born Nov 1, 1869, in Minster. He died at noon Friday following an
extended illness due to complications of diseases. No immediate
relatives survive.

MARYS, Aug. 3—The body of William Kinkley, 31, who drowned
Friday at Huffman dam, near Osborn, was brought Friday night by
Undertaker W. E. Yoder to the home of his father, Oscar Kinkley, St.
Marys. Kinkley is survived by his father and stepmother, Mr. and Mrs.
Oscar Kinkley; a sister, Mrs. Thelma Clark of
Wisconsin
; three half-sisters, Mrs. Clara Baker, Theresa and Mary Kinkley and one
half-brother, John Kinkley, all of St. Marys. His wife, who has been ill
for some time, recently went from their home in
Dayton
to the home of her parents in Celina.

Aug. 3—Mrs. Catherine Schaub, 85, widow of John Schaub, died
Saturday evening at the home of her son, Fred S. Blackhoof-st, of
complications after an illness of one week. She was a member of
St. Paul
's Evangelical and Reformed church the Women's
Union
and the church Bible class. Surviving are three sons, Henry, Fred and
Otto, all of here; one daughter, Mrs. J. C. McKinney of Cleveland, four
grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral arrangements are
incomplete and the body will remain at the Heinl Bros, and Son funeral
home here until the services.

- James W Kellerman, 66. died at 1:30 pm Saturday at his
residence following He was born Feb 10, 1896 in
Mercer
County, the son of Henry and Elizabeth Burd Kellerman. On Sept 10, 1917 he
married Gilva M. Craft, who died Oct. 24, 1973. Mr. Kellerman was a
retired farmer. He was a member of American Legion Post 330. Fraternal
Order of the Eagles Aerie 691 and Disabled American Veterans in
Waynesfield. He served with the Army during World War I. Survivors
include two sons, Charles C. ( Bud) Kellerman of rural Wapakoneta and
Gordon L. Kellerman of
Sidney
; two daughters. Mrs. Everett (Onnolee) Stroh of St. Marys and Mrs.
Austin (Eloise) Hoverman of Satellite

MARYS - Otis B. Chilcoat, 84, of St. Marys, died a! 6:35 a.
m. today in Veterans Administration Hospital in
Dayton
, where he was admitted on Dec. 7. He had been in ill health for the
past three years. Born

. 3, 1887. in
Decatur, Ind., he was a son of George and Liza Jane (Bannon) Chilcoat.
Mr. Chilcoat was an employe of St. Marys Foundry until his retirement in
1953. He served with the U. S. Army during World War I. He was preceded
in death by his first two wives, Lew Hubble and Minnie Heath. Survivors
include his widow, Fdith Shinaberry whom he married Sept. 14,1953;
five sons, Charles, Ernest and Homer, all of St Marys, Rafe of
Buckland and Lowell ( Johnny) of Wapakoneta: two daughters. Mrs.
Vernon (Betty) Stolzenburg of Wapakoneta, Mrs. Glen ( Blanch)
Muter of Montezuma; three step-children Donald I. Rogers and Harvey
Russell, both of St. Marys and Mrs. Don (Dorothy)| Schneider of New
Bremen; 47 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren. Funeral services
will be held at 2 p. m. Thursday in the Yoder-Long and Folk Funeral Home
in St Marys with the Rev. L H. Anderson officiating. Burial will he in
Resthaven Memory Gardens, St. Marys. Friends may call at the funeral

, following a two month illness. Born March 28, 1903, in

his widow Hulda (Kupper) Kinstle; a son,

(Marie) Combs of Wapakoneta; and six grandchildren. Two sisters and a
brother are deceased. Mr. Kinstle was a general contractor in Delphos
prior to his retirement, and was a member of St. John Catholic Church.

at Lima Memorial hospital. He was born Nov. 26, 1932 in St. Marys.
to John A and Appolona (Nuseman) Tobens. On Sep 15, 1956. he
married Alice Langmeyer who survives. Mr. Tobens
was a self-employed salesman and
had been coordinator of recycling in St. Marys. He was a 1951
graduate of Memorial
High School
in St. Marys. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars
Post 9289, St. Marys where he was president of the Clown Unit; the
American Legion Post 323; where he was past commander; the Disabled
American Veterans Fort Barbee Chapter 119; Fraternal
Order
of Eagles Aerie 767; the Celine Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge
fourth degree Knights of Columbus and the Holy Rosary Catholic
Church. He was an Army veteran having served from 1952 to 1954. Survivors
include four sons,

Route 6 for 39 years. He was also a retired farmer. He was a life member

November 1950. In September 1961, the married Lloyd Ware who died
in April 1973, in November 1974 she married Clarence Mox who died
in November 1980. A homemaker, Mrs. Mox was a member of St Marks
Lutheran Church in Wapakoneta and its Deborah Circle. She was a
former member of Wapakoneta Senior Citizens. Survivors include three

married J. Thomas Larkin, who died Jan. 21, 1986. Mrs. Larkin was a
homemaker. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and its Altar
Rosary Society. Survivors include two daugh-
ters. Kathleen Klosterman of St. Marys and Mrs. Joe (Jane) Lersky of
Celina; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was
preceded in death by three brothers, Wilbur Shelby, Francis Shelby and

(Helen June) Hackman of Russells Point, eight grandchildren, eight
