Mrs. Sadie Bitters, 69, died
Tuesday night at the home of a son Dean Bitters Sr., Wapakoneta
following an illness of eight weeks.A native of Kossuth, Mrs. Bitters,
had lived in Wapakoneta virtually all her life. She was born Jan. 24,
1876, in Auglaize Co, the daughter of Arnold Connor. She was a member
of the Buckland Christian church.Surviving in addition to the son, are
three grandchildren and a brother Mont. of Fennville, Mich., Her
husband William F. died in 1923.The body will remain at the Siferd and
Brookhart funeral home where services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday
with Rev. George Herd, officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn
cemetery.

died at 9 p.m., Feb 27, at Wilson Memorial Hospital, Sidney.Services
will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday at Bayliff & Eley Funeral Home,
Wapakoneta. Dr. Alex Gondola will officiate. Burial will be in
Resthaven Memory Gardens.Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.

Wapakoneta - Ferd L.
Howell, operator of a coal yard and building supply firm here, died
unexpectedly at his home early Monday of heart disease. He was stricken
ill Sunday night. His home was on E. Pearl-st. Surviving are the widow,
two daughters and a son. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.

Hoge, 77, died at 11:35 a.m. Thursday at Joint Township Hospital,
St. Marys. surviving are his wife Mary A., two sons, Robert R. of
Birmingham, Mich., and Ned W. of Akron; two daughters Mrs. Robert E.
(Mary Anne) Hirschfeld of St. Marys and Mrs. Don (Ruth) List of
Columbus; and 11 grandchildren. He was a buyer and supervisor of the
Hoge Lumber Co. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at First United
Church of Christ. Burial will be in Pilger Ruhe Cemetery. Friends may
call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Yoder-Long and Folk Funeral
Home, St. Marys.

Mrs. Cal Kennedy, 73,
died late Wednesday at her home on Murray-st, after an extended illness
due to complications of diseases. She was born Mar 1, 1866 the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Lindermuth in Waynesfield. She was a member of First
Methodist church. Surviving are the husband and two nephews, the latter
both of Marion, Ind.
Funeral services will be
held at 1 p.m. Saturday in a local funeral home on S. Blackhoof-st with
Rev. George Herd, pastor of First Methodist church, officiating. Burial
will be in Walnut Hill cemetery at New Hampshire.

86, died at 3:55 p.m. Saturday at Joint Township Hospital, St. Marys.
Survivors include a daughter Mrs. Harold (Mary Louise) Wale of
here; four sons, Vernon and Carl, both of Wapakoneta, Paul of Rt. 2,
Wapakoneta, and Lee Roy of here; 15 grandchildren and 11
great-grandchildren. He was a retired farmer. Services will be at 1:30
p.m. Wednesday in Yoder-Long and folk Funeral Home. Burial will be in
Resthaven Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Mrs. Richard Crouse, after a year's illness. She was employed 11 years
ago by the St. Marys Laundry. Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at
Yoder & Long Funeral Home with the Rev. Rudolph Moore officiating.
Burial will be in Elm Grove Cemetery.

92, of Lima, died at 11:30 a.m. Friday at St. Rita's Medical Center.He
was born June 17, 1896 in Gutman, the son of Mr. and Mrs. James L.
Alexander. He married Louise C. Alexander, who died Oct. 6, 1980.Mr.
Alexander was a general life insurance agent for Kentucky Home Mutual
Life Insurance Co.Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Chiles and
Sons-Laman Chapel of Memories, Rev. Willard Thomas officiating. Burial
will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery, New Hampshire.

Bronchial pneumonia with
which she had been ill six days caused the death of Ruby May Prueter,
year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. August Prueter, New Knoxville. She is
survived by her parents and seven brothers and sisters, Earl, Paul,
James, Elwood, Don, Naomi and Irma, all at home.

L.(Fritz) Kolter,70, of here died at 1:05 p.m. Wednesday at Lima
Memorial
Hospital following an extended illness.
He was born Nov. 6, 1918, in
Wapakoneta, the son of Fred and Emma Burke Kolter.
In June
1951,he married Betty Richardson who died Dec. 17,1966.
Mr. Kolter retired in 1975 from the
Auglaize County Engineer's Office after 30 years of service. An Army
Air Corps
veteran of World War II, he was a member of American
Legion Auglaize Post 330.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs
William(Barbara) Durham of Kennesaw,Ga.; a son, Frederick L. Kolter Jr.
of
Fremont,Neb.; a stepdaughter,Mrs William (Carole) Brandstadt of
Wapakoneta; a
stepson, Ralph R. Richardson of Ada; six grandchildren; and two great-
grandchildren.
Following cremation, the ashes will
be buried in Greenlawn Cemetery.
There will be no services or
visitation.
Arrangements are under the direction
of Charles D. Siferd Chapel of Bayliff and Eley Funeral Homes.
Memorial contributions may be made
to the American Cancer Society.

Richardson----Mrs.
Agnes,who for several years was a resident of Spencerville, but
who
about three
months ago broke up housekeeping and went to live with her son,John, at
Ada,died here Tuesday morning of last week, from the effects of a
second stroke
of paralysis, she having received the first stroke about two days ago.
She was aged 81 years, 7 months and
18 days.
At the age of 16 years she was
united in marriage with D.L. Richardson,with whom she lived happily for
56
years, he having departed this life in 1891.
She was the mother
of 13 children, all of whom
she raised to maturity before death entered the home. Two daughters and
one son
have gone on before.
She leaves behind 108
descendants---- 6 daughters, 4 sons, 51 grand-children and 17
great-grand-children,and many friends to mourn her sudden taking away.
Funeral services were held at
Buckland Christian Church after which the remains were buried in
Greenlawn
Cemetery, Wapakoneta, beside those of her husband.
She joined the Christian church in
early life and ever after lived strictly up to the discipline of the
church and
died in full faith of receiving just reward for a Christian life well
spent.

Funeral services for
Mrs. Jesse Hudson, 85, formerly of St. Marys, who died Wednesday in
the Auglaize-co Infirmary following an extended illness, were held at 2
p.m. Friday in a W. Auglaize-st funeral home with Rev. George Herd
officiating. Burial was made in Evergreen cemetery. She was born Oct
27, 1853, in Brooklyn, N.Y. and with her husband came to make their
home in St. Marys in 1900. Both were admitted to the home in 1925. Her
husband preceded her in death. She was a member of First Methodist
church. A stepson and stepdaughter survive.

Final rites
for Miss Julia Kohler, 86, of 716 W. Auglaize-st, will be at 2
p.m. Sunday in the Heinl and Son funeral home. The Rev. R.J.
Loew will officiate and burial will be in Greenlawn cemetery.
Miss Kohler died at 11 p.m. Thursday in Lima St. Rita's hospital where
she had been a patient since Nov. 19 last year. She was born in May
1863 and was the last surviving member of the Frieder Kohler family.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews. The body will remain at the
funeral home until after services.

Born April 25, 1896 in
Auglaize County, she was the daughter of Henry and Olivia (Ziler)
Montague. On Nov. 28, 1918, she married S.G. (Ben) Alexander, who died
Jan. 13, 1954.Mrs. Alexander was a member of Waynesfield Baptist
Church.Survivors include a son Roger H. of Wapakoneta; a daughter, Mrs.
Byron (Betty) Bondurant of Dublin; 10 grandchildren; and 10
great-grandchildren.Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Van Horn
Funeral Home, Lakeview, Rev. Arthur Derry officiating. Burial will be
in Willow Branch Cemetery, Waynesfield.

was an employee of McLean's News stand in Wapakoneta. She was
former employee of Jimison Dry Cleaning and a member of the First

E. Kolter,59, of 506 E. Auglaize died at 1:40 p.m. Tuesday in
Lima
Memorial
Hospital following an extended illness.
He was born June 23,1912, in this
city, the son of Fred and Emma Burke Kolter. He was Married Feb. 27,
1941 to
Roberta Brookhart, who survives with a
brother, Frederick of this city. Two sons preceded him in death.
Mr. Kolter
was employed at the Auglaize County
Engineer's office for 29 years, retiring in 1969 because of poor
health. He was
a
World War II veteran; past commander of Auglaize Post 330, American
Legion; and
past chef de gare of the local 40 et 8. He was a member of St. Paul
United
Church of Christ.
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday in
Siferd Funeral
Home. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may
call at
Siferd Funeral Home tonight.
