Edward Severn Green
Edward Severn Green, who was born Feb. 5, 1872, died Jan. 3, 1921, aged 48 years, 3 months, and 28 days, Sept. 6, 1895, he was united in marriage to Miss Bertha A. Rupert. To this union were born three children, all of them preceded the father to the spirit world.
During the pastorate of Rev. J. H. Williams, of Lakeview circuit, U. B. church, he was converted and united with the church. How long he was true to his vow and loyal to the church is not for me to say. We can only leave him in the hands of a just and righteous God.
He was a member of the Eagle lodge at Lakeview in good standing. His mother and father died some years ago, also four sisters who preceded him in death. He leaves to mourn his death, one sister, Mrs. Charley Campbell, who resides near this village and one half-brother who resides in Denver, Colorado, who with a bereaved companion have the sympathy and prayers of many friends and neighbors in their sore bereavement.
We can but say peace to his ashes, The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away. [Lima News, Jan 7, 1921]
