Mr. and Mrs. Guy McKINNEY spent Saturday night and Sunday with relatives in Lima.
Mr. and Mrs. E. J. EMRICK of near Wapakoneta, Mr. and Mrs. Jack THRUSH and son Jackie of Degraff and Ernest ROSE of Hollywood, California were Sunday p.m. callers at the home of Alph CHILES.
Mr. and Mrs. Harvey GAGE of Lima called Sunday on Mr. and Mrs. Arthur BISHOP.
Mr. and Mrs. Verne WALLACE and daughter Lucille, of Lima called Sunday on Mr. and Mrs. C.W. WALLACE.
Mrs. A.O. WAGSTAFF and Mrs. Neville WAGSTAFF motored Friday to Toledo.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry CORDREY and daughters, Florence and Betty Jane spent Saturday and Sunday with their parents in Dayton, Mr. and Mrs. KUSSMAN and family.
Mr. and Mrs. Martin HAGGARD and son Clarence, spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Carl WOOD and daughter Marilyn, of Lima.
Mr. and Mrs. Will WHITE of Springfield, Miss Addie McADAMS of Washington, C.H., spent Sunday with W.A. McADAMS and family.

Mr. and Mrs. Floyd DUNNING of Florida are spending a few days in this city, guests of Mrs. John KROGMAN, Van Horn street.
Members of the J.B., club were entertained Thursday afternoon in the country home of Mrs. Jacob MOELL, south of the city.
Mrs. Albert F. SCHNEIDER opened her home on Silver street, to members of the F.E. Card club Monday evening. In the games of "500" three prizes were awarded. The first favor was presented Mrs. Joe HARSHBARGER, the second, Mrs. Dewey SCHNELL and the third, Mrs. Earl GLEAVES. The hostess served her guests a danitily appointed salad course.
Miss Cameo HURLBURT left Monday afternoon for Kenton, where she will be the house guest for several days of Miss Frances HARBISON.

The burial of Joseph LUDLUM, 84, will take place in Port Jefferson where funeral services also will be held. Mr. LUDLUM died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Alice KISHLER-KRUMMERY with whom he had been living for the last 23 years. He is survived by six children: Mrs. KISHLER-KRUMMERY, Mrs. Joseph BENNETT, East Liberty, Mrs. Bessie VOY, Dayton; Roy LUDLUM, Port Jefferson, Sam LUDLUM, Sidney; Mrs. Bernice COLE, Bodkins.

Mrs. John LINKENSDORFER is in St. Rita's hospital, Lima, suffering with a compound fracture of the right wrist. She received the injury when she was precipitated out of an automobile in which she was riding due to the catch of the door not having been securely fastened. One of the bones protruded thru the flesh, making the injury a very painful one.

Thomas ORR, 65, a former resident of Uniopolis and formerly employed at Lima City Hospital, was fatally injured at noon yesterday when the machine in which he was riding was struck by a fast passenger train at New Castle, Ind., according to word received by relatives here late Tuesday. He died a few minutes later enroute to a hospital. ORR was visiting a son and daughter, Scott ORR and Mrs. Eva BASHORE, of New Castle, and was substituting for a friend, Harvey FRAIZER, at a pipe line company in this city. FRAIZER was working on the polls and asked ORR to substitute for him knowing that he had been out of work for several months. The accident occurred as the man was returning home from work at noon. Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. W.J. RINEHART and Mrs. B.B. BLANK, both of Uniopolis, Mrs. Edith SPYKER, of Snyder Crossing, North of this city, Mrs. Eva BASHORE, of New Castle, and a daughter whose name could not be learned but living in Florida, and one son Scott ORR, of New Castle. Funeral arrangements have not been completed.

Announcement is being made here of the marriage Oct. 7, of Miss Ruth GUY, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur GUY, and Harold BONNETTE, son of Mrs. Ruby BONNETTE. They were married at Lebanon. Both are graduates of memorial High school with the 1930 class. They will live in Dayton where Harold is employed and also is attending the Miami-Jacobs business college.

Funeral services for Mrs. Martha BEECH, 29, wife of Rollie BEECH, of St. Johns, who died unexpectedly from a heart attack Tuesday evening were held at 2 p.m. today from the Wapakoneta M.E. church, with the Rev. J.B. SHELLHAAS, officiating. Burial was in St. Josephs cemetery. Mrs. BEECH was born on a farm near Waynesfield, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles BOWSHER. She was a member of the Waynesfield M.E. church and affiliated with the W.B.A. of this city and the Clay Rebekah lodge in St. Johns. Surviving are the husband and one daughter, Violet Mae. Four sisters, Miss Pearl BOWSHER, Mrs. Bud CHILES, both of near Waynesfield, Mrs. Gorman GRAHAM and Mrs. Charles SHANER, of Waynesfield, and four brothers, William, of Belle Center, Oscar of Napoleon and Grover and Don both of Waynesfield.
Chalres L. WENTZ, 82, Civil war veteran and widely known resident of this city, died late Wednesday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. A.L. EDMINSTON, 101 W. Benton-st, after an extended illness of several years due to complications. He was commander of the local Kyle Post G.A.R. for the past ten years and actively interested in the affairs of the post until poor health caused him to turn the duties over to a confederate. When a youth at the age of 15 years, Mr. WENTZ enlisted as a private in Co. K, 189 O.V.I. where he served for a period of three years. He was one of the youngest men to enlist from this district. Mr. WENTZ was a member of the M.E. church and actively affiliated with the board and brotherhood. He was member of the Republican party and when occasions presented themselves took an active part in the campaigns conducted. He was born Feb. 12, 1849, near York, Pa., the son of Rev. and mrs. Jacob W. WENTZ. When a young lad, he moved to Harshmanville, near Dayton, with his parents and in 1865 moved to Auglaize-co. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. A.H. NEFF and Mrs. A. L. EDMINSTON, both of this city, and Mrs. W. L. WERST, of Muncie, Ind. One daughter, Mrs. Ella KIEFER, preceded him in death 15 years ago. Three brothers, Henry and Jacob, of this city, and John WENTZ, of Fremont, and three sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth CUNNINGHAM, of Lima, Mrs. Cinderilla CUNNINGHAM of Philadelphia, and Mrs. Cornelia DAVIS, of Bakersville, Cal., with 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, also survive. R.W. EDMINSTON, formerly head of the Lima Central high school science department but now of Columbus, a grandson also survives. Funeral services will be held from the EDMINSTON residence at 2:30 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. J.B. SHELLHAAS, pastor of the local M.E. church officiating. Burial will be in the mauseleum at Greenlawn cemetery.
