The cemetery is adjacent to Jones Road (County Rd. 471) off Nixon’s Run Road (State Rt. 798).
Copied & submitted by Mrs. Andrew Shemenski, 1605 North Ninth Street, Martins Ferry, Ohio 43935.

 

Twelve stones remain in this cemetery, some of which were in quite good condition. Others were illegible.

Leonard Hood – 1835 (or 1855)

Love Jump – born Belmont Co, Dec. 25, 1797 – d. March 3, 1875

Other side of stone: John Jump (???) Dec. 25, 1797 - d. Jul 13, 1871

Children of J. & L. Jump: Samuel, Walter, Louisa (all on one tall stone)

John (Co)chran – 1830 (rest illegible) has footstone

Memory of Martha Cochran, Consort of John Cochran who died Aug. 16, 1839, aged 81 yrs. (has footstone)

In Memory of Charles Caton, son of Alfred & Sarah Caton who died (??) 22, 1837 aged (??) mos.

Margaret Cochran, who died (??) 17, 1842 in the 51st (??)

In Memory of John Nixon, who departed this life Aug 7 A.D. 1833, aged (??) yrs. (??) mo.

Anne Nixon, Consort of John Nixon (Stone buried; rest illegible)

Elizabeth Grubb, wife of Jacob Grubb died Jan. 26, 1827, aged 36 yrs. 10 mos. (Footstone with initials ‘E. G.’

John (???) (This stone against a fence post & unable unless post could be moved) Footstone: ‘J.C.G.’
