The deceased had been a resident of Belmont Co., near Wrightstown, since the year 1806. The whole course of his life had been that of piety and virtue; and died firm in the faith of a risen saviour. Addressing his wife, Elizabeth, he said: "We will not be long separated." He leaves a large concourse of relatives and friends to mourn his loss.
Thou art gone - kindest __rent, to mansions of rest;
Thy suffrage and pains are all o'er -
While sorrow and anguish invade our breasts,
We hope to meet thee on Canaan's bright shore;
Where sleeping Saints are awakened,
And sing praise to God evermore.
