May 25, 1900Springfield, O., May 25 - Mrs. Annie Fowler, 30, wife of Fred L. Fowler, shot herself to death at her home. Her husband found her lying upon the bed when he returned from work. Ill health was the cause of the rash deed.

Lon M. Houstin, 63, died this morning at his home in South Charleston from a complication od diseases. He was president of the Citizens National Bank and of the Houston Lumber Co. He was one of the wealthiest men in Clark county.

Superintendent and General Manager of a Springfield O. Foundry Killed.
SPRINGFIELD, O.- (Special.) John G, Sadler, superintendent and general manager of the Springfield Foundry
Company and the Indianapolis Frog and Switch Company, was shot and killed by John W. Kenney, a molder.
who had recently been discharged. Kenney is now In the hands of the police. Sadler was waylaid and shot
In the hallway leading to his office. Five bullets took effect in his body. There was no eyewitness to the murder.
Mr. Sadler's private secretary heard five shots fired, and Mr. Sadler dashed the door open and said:
"I am done for; Kenney did It!" He fell to the floor and died before anybody could reach his side. Kenney
was caught as he ran from the building and turned over to the police.

Mrs. Frederick Simpson, who made a charge of murder against her husband, and was afterwards adjudged insane, then escaping from home, was arrested and placed in jail. She will be taken to the Dayton asylum.
