ODOR, Rev. A.W.

Odor Rev. A.W., Jackson township; postoffice, Roscoe; born in Orange county, Virginia, in 1822; settled in this county in 1830; son of Elwood and Nancy (Wigfield) Odor, and grandson of Joseph and Nancy (Moore) Wigfield; married September 25, 1856, to Maloney C. Platt, daughter of Robert and Margaret Platt. Mr Odor is the father of two children, viz J.W. and E.P. Mr Odor pursued a regular course of studies at Denison universit until his health failed him. He was then engaged in teaching for some seven years. Ordained to preach by the Regular Baptist church in 1853, and has followed that calling ever since.
