I am looking for information on John Bryan 1785?? – 1830-?-? Virginia, Coshocton County, Ohio Wife Mary “Hoffer” Bryan 1788 Pa. – 1840+?+? Ind.
John and Mary were married 1805 , Pa. I could really use help getting past John and Mary Bryan in my genealogy search as they lived in Virginia, Coshocton County, Ohio.
I am pretty sure their son Melchor Hoffer Bryan my GGgrandfather was born in Coshocton County, Ohio around 1815. I am pretty sure John died before the 1830 census because Mary was the head of household in that census for Virginia, Coshocton County, Ohio.
I also noticed that one of the adjoining properties was their son David Bryan.
By 1840 they had moved to Indiana I have found them in the Indiana 1840 census. Have never been able to find John or Mary’s parentage again any help would be appreciated.
Also I have found that Melchor Hoffer Bryan Married Malinda Richards in 1835 in Coshocton County. Ohio. Any help with Malinda Richards would also be appreciated.
I know there were a James & John Bryan in Pike TS in the 1820 census and in 1830 John was still there James had moved to Iowa. Since Mary Bryan “Bryant”? of Virginia TS and this John Bryan Pike TS were in the 1830 census. I know since they lived so close in Coshocton County they get mixed up a lot.
As I ready noted Mary Bryan “Bryant” was the head of household in that Virginia TS, Coshocton County Ohio census and one of the adjoining properties was their son David Bryan.
I found this information about David Bryan.
