Lucy Potter vs. Joel T. Potter
Delaware Common Pleas, Petition for Divorce and Alimony
The defendent Joel T. Potter, a resident of the State of Illinois, is hereby notified that the petitioner, Lucy Potter, on the 3d day of December, A.D. 1857, filed her petition in the Court of Common Pleas of said county, charging the said defendent with gross neglect of duty as a husband, and wilful absence for a period of more than three years, and praying said Court for a dissolution of the marriage contract existing between the parties, and for alimony. Said cause will be for hearing at the April term 1858, of said court, at which time a decision will be asked for in pursuance of the prayer of said petition.
