August Fischer, 78, S. Campbell St., retired farmer, died early Tuesday at Providence Hospital. Surviving are a sister, Miss Fannie Fischer, at home, and other more distant relatives. Friends may call at the Frey Funeral Home after 7 o'clock tonight, where services will be at 8:30 a.m. Thursday and at 9 a.m. at SS Peter and Paul Church, the Rev. G. M. Stein, officiating. Burial will be in St. Jose ph s Cemetery.

Mrs. Virginia Fontaine, 41, wife of Lawton J. Fontaine, died Monday evening at Good Samaritan Hospital. She resided at Chaska Beach and was a member of the Sandusky College Women's Club. Surviving in addition to her husband, are her parents, Dr. and Mrs. Ray Miller of Sandusky, and a brother J.B. Springer, of Sandusky. The body is at the Lutz Funeral Home pending comple tion of arrangements.

Eugene Francis, 40, World War 2 Veteran and Soldiers Home resident, died at the Home Hospital Monday. A native of Adena, O., he served with the 69th Chemical Company. There are no immed iate survivors.
Friends may call at the Keller Funeral Home after noon Tuesday, with military services at the Soldiers Hone at 10 a. m. Thursday, the Rev. C. A. Sundberg, officiating. Burial will be in the Home Cemetery.
Mrs. Caroline B. Frank

Mrs. Caroline Bell Frank, 78, widow of Joseph A., a resident of Rye Beach for the past two and a half years and formerly of Galion, died Sunday.
Mrs. Frank was a member of Grace Episcopal Church of Galion and its Women s auxiliary; a charter member of Bell Liberty Council, No. 13 of Galion, and a charter member and past president of the Galion Scarboro Post, American Legion Auxiliary.
Surviving are a son, Percy, with whom she made her home at Rye Beach; three grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Mary Ernest of Marion. She was preceded in death by a son in addition to her husband.
Friends may call at the Percy Frank Home at Rye Beach, where brief services will be at 9 a. m. Wednesday, the Rev. Hunsdon Cary, Jr., officiating. Further services will be at 2 p. m. Wednesday at Grace Episcopal Church, Galion, the Rev. Franklin Klohn, officiating. Burial will be in Fair view Cemetery, Galion.

Mrs. Cora Gauntt Friend, 67, widow of Harley W., died Saturday noon at the home of a daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Breedlove, S. Campbell-st, following a lingering illness. Mrs. Friend was a member of the Royal Neighbors, Lake Erie Camp No. 6313 of Sandusky.
Surviving in addition to the daughter, are a granchild; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Earl of Oak Ridge, Pa., and Arthur of Scalpe Level, Pa. Friends may call at the Charles J. Andres Sons' Funeral Home after 7 p.m. Sunday, where services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, the Rev. William Fusco, officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
