A cemetery was laid out, containing about one-half acre of land, by Francis Olmsted and Jonathan Noble,
along the division line of their farms, each giving one-half, one-third mile south from Blendon Four Corners, on the east side of road

This cemetery not having been used by the people generally, the remains of the bodies were removed to the
Old Church Pioneer Cemetery, in the center of Blendon township, in October, 1902, and there given a prominent position.
In some of the graves, where the bodies had lain for fifty years, there were only small particles left,
but in every grave there was some evidence.
The eight children brought to Ohio by the two pioneer families were:
Edward Phelps, aged 16; married Elizabeth Jamison, June 26, 1817.
Abram Phelps, aged 15; married Lucy Bill, Feb. 15, 1827.
Azubah Phelps, aged 12; never married.
Lucuida Phelps, aged 9; married William Williams, JuJy 10,1817.
Chloe Phelps, aged: 7; married Menses Gillespie, Nov. 1, 1817,
William Phelps, aged 4; married Jane Watt, Aug. 21, 1824.
Isaac M. Griswold, aged 8; married Mary Osborn, Sept. 4, 1833.
Edwid B. Griswold, aged 1; never married.
One son, Homer Moore Phelps, was born at Blendon, Ohio, Feb. 9, 1812; married Elizabeth G. Connelly, Jan. 14, 1835.
All of the above were married by Rev. Ebenezer Washburn.

The descendants of all these pioneers now reside in nineteen states.
there was a cemetery located on lands of Matthew Westerveldt and Garrit Sharp,
in the north part of the township, about 1820, and was designated as the Methodist Cemetery.
In it the Westervelt Sharp, and other families buried their dead. It is still used for burial purposes.
