Joshua Gibison, aged 75, who had sold newspapers in the streets here for years, was asphyxiated in his lodgings.

Voting Out Ohio Saloons.
Columbus. O.—Twelve Ohio counties voted Tuesday under the Rose law and all went "dry" by majorities ranging from a few hundred to more than 2,000. The number of saloons affected is 280. Altogether 10 of the counties have held local option elections and all have gone "dry." The total number of saloons voted out is 390.
