H. R. 1187. Samuel L. Bostick , aged 53 years, whose post-office address is R. F. D. No. 2. Gallia, Ohio, is the helpless and dependent son of Thomas Bostick late a private, Company F, One hundred and forty-first Regiment, Ohio Infantry, from May 2, 1864, to September 3, 1864, and who died January 27, 1891.
The parents of this claimant were married December 24, 1859. The mother was pensioned as soldier’s widow under certificate No. 315490 to the date of her death, March 19, 1900.
Claimant has no title to pension under existing law because he attained the age of 16 years prior to the date of soldier’s death.
The evidence indicates he is the legitimate son of the soldier and that since about four years of age he has been paralyzed in left hand and arm and partially paralyzed in left leg rendering him unable to contribute to his own support.
He has no property or income. No one is legally bound to his support.
It is recommended his name be placed on the pension roll at the rate of $20 a month.
