M. James
Deaths on the Plains. The St. Louis Republican gives the deaths that have been reported at Fort Laramie during the summer.  The number of names given is 262; many more deaths are said to have occurred, but not reported.  The record was kept and furnished by the officers at the Fort.  We give the names from Ohio and Indiana, contained in the melancholy record:

Helen T. Jeremitz
JEREMITZ - Helen T. (nee Tesin) beloved wife of the late Ziva Jeremitz, dear mother of Mrs. Katherine Bender and Mrs. Priscilla Howard, also survived by one grandchild, passed away Saturday, February 29, 1964;age 75 years.  Funeral Wednesday, March 4, from the Riedlinger-Lemen Funeral Home, 19 Green-st, at 10:30 a. m.  Friends may call Tuesday, 4 to 9 p. m.  [unknown source, March 1, 1964; Sub. by FoFG]
