Dorsey D. Greeno, 90,, of 819 Selby St., died at 5:15 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, 2001 at his residence.
He was born Dec. 19, 1911 in Findlay to Albert and Nellie (Brooker) Greeno.  He married Arbulah (Billie) D. Shepherd who survives.  Surviving also are three sons, Edward E., Jack L. and Robert A., all of Findlay; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Thelma August, Ethel Isenstein, and Mildred Miller; and three brothers, Chester, Virgil and Dallas.  Mr. Greeno previously owned and operated Dorsey Motor Sales, Findlay.  He also raced standard bred race horses.  He was a member of Ohio Horseman Association, Columbus.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Coldren-Crates Funeral Home, with Bishop Terry McBeath officiating.  Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Bridge Home Health and Hospice, 415 College St., Findlay; or to Upper Room Church of God.

Alberta V. Marshall, 88, died at 4:45 a.m., Oct. 10, 1997 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home, Findlay.
She was born Oct. 26, 1908, in Orange Township, to D. D. and Bertha (Reigle) Williamson. On April 6, 1939, she married Wilber Marshall, who died Sept. 7, 1966.
Mrs. Marshall was retired having worked as a private secretary for R. L. Triplett, Triplett Corp., Bluffton. She also managed, along with her husband, the Hancock County Home in the 1960s. She was a former treasurer of Bluffton Health Chapter, former secretary of AARP Findlay and former member of the board of directors of Blanchard Valley Hospital. She attended Calvary Baptist Church, Findlay.
Survivors include a sister, Helen (Gerald) Bright of Findlay, and 12 nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Kirkpatrick-Behnke Funeral Home, Findlay. Rev. Raymond Kempf will officiate. Burial in Cannonsburg Cemetery, Union township.

FINDLAY, Aug. 1 — Last rites will be conducted at 2 p. m. Saturday' in Pleasant Grove U. B. church for Elmer J. Pepple, 77, well known Hancock-co farmer who died Wednesday night in his farm home in Jackson-tp from a heart attack. He died while doing his chores. His wife found his body. Surviving are his widow, the former Elma E. Woodruff, and several brothers and sisters. Interment will be in the Bishop cemetery, south of   Findlay  .

Allen S. Zent
FINDLAY -  Allen Sylvester Zent, 93, of 525 W. Lima St., operator of Al's Saw Shop, died in Hancock County Home at 7:50 a.m. Friday. He was ill for three weeks. Born in Warren, Ind., Jan. 1, 1869, he was a son of George and Lydia (Bushong) Zent. He came to Findlay in 1900 from Huntington, Ind. He married Fannie Whiteherst and she died Dec. 7, 1943. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Lela Sheater, West Main Cross Road; a son, Chester, 534 Clinton Court; two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was a member of the Moose Lodge. Services will be held in the Trautman Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Monday, with Rev. R. W. Faulkner officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery. The body is at the funeral home where friends may call.

Mrs. Zola Gibbs, 81, formerly of here, died at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Oak Grove Manor, Deshler.
She had lived there five years.
She was born June 12, 1890, in Union Township to Albert M. and Maude E. (Ghaster) Burket.
She married Frank E. Gibbs Nov. 20, 1910, and he died Oct. 24,1947.
Surviving are one son, Albert M. of Rt.1 Rawson; three grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
She was a member of the Rawson Lions auxiliary, a life­long member of the Rawson New Hope United Methodist Church, the church auxiliary and the former Women's Society for World Service. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday
in the Paul Diller and Son Funeral Home, Bluffton,. Rev. Don Richard officiating.
Burial will be in Clymer Cemetery, near Bluffton.

Raymond W. Montgomery, 72, died at home here Monday. He was a retire postal clerk.
He was married July 9, 1927, to Helen Otto, who survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Richard of Bluffton and Lowell of Wayne; and a daughter, Mrs. Clayton (Barbara) Zimmerly of Mt. Cory.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Kirkpatrick-Hawkins Funeral Home, Rev. Oscar E. Brown officiating. Burial in West Belmore Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today.

Mrs. Dorotha Wright, 67, died at 4:30 this morning at her home.

Surviving are her husband, Willis V., a daughter, Mrs. Jack (Joan) Smith of Wapakoneta; a son, Thomas C., of Paramount, Calif., 7 grandchildren; and a sister, Anna Widner, of 934 N. Metcalf street, Lima.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Trautman Funeral Home. Burial will be in Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Thursday.

FINDLAY - Boyd G. Hutson. 81. died at 5:10 a.m. Sunday at Blanchard Valley Hospital following an extended illness. A farmer in his early years, Mr. Hutson was Hancock County treasurer from 1940 to 1945. He was deputy treasurer from 1933 to 1940 and former Cass Township clerk. He retired in 1969 as auditor for the Ohio
Welfare Department.

Survivors include his wife, the former Helen Simon; two sons, John C. Hutson of Findlay and Robert A. Hutson of Euclid; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery. Friends may call until 5 and from 7 to 9 today at Kirkpatnck Funeral Home. Masonic service will be at 7:30 tonight at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Nellie Fox Hutson Schol-
arship Fund at Findlay College or the American Cancer Society.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Wayne Street Chapel of Chiles and Sons-Laman for Bertha S. (Susan) Lawrence, 85, formerly of 414 N. McDonel. She died at 9:30 p.m. Friday at Oaks Convalescent Center.
She was born Sept. 27, 1898, in Augusta County, Va., the daughter of Richard H. and Emma Mae Bare Jones. She married Jason K. Lawrence, who is deceased. Mrs. Lawrence was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church. Survivors include four sons, Eugene (Jack) Keyton of Lima, Hubert Keyton of Delphos, Lewis (Lindy) Keyton of Findlay and DeWitt Keyton of Akron; three daughters, Mrs. Edwin (Mildred) Gallaway of
Spencerville, Mrs. Robert (Maxine) Slane of Cridersville and Carol Sue Lawrence of Lima; 20 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Walter Jones of Roanoke, Va.
Rev. Hal Reed will officiate for the services. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Findlay. Friends may call at the fuenral home until 4 and from 7 to 9 today.

ADA—Wilson H. Grubaugh, 82, of Ada was dead on arrival Thursday morning at Lima Memorial Hospital, following an extended illness. He was born Feb. 14,1892, in Van Wert County, a son of John W. and Mary (Line) Grubaugh.
On Dec. 31, 1910. he married the former Bessie Mae Bame, who preceded him in death on Sept. 8. 1943 Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Ralph (Wilma) Bair of Findlay, Mrs. George (Grace) Moore of Payette, Idaho, Mrs. Calvin (Helen) Kollars of Cridersville, Mrs. Charles Ruth) Rettig of Ada and Mrs. Ahnet (Janice) Erdogan of Santa Ana, Calif.; four sons. Donald of McDermitt, Nev., Franklin of Seattle, Wash., Ray of Ada and Roy of Covington; a half-brother, Clarence Grubaugh of Van Wert and
two half-sisters, Mrs. Ella Cline of Ohio City and Mrs. Nellie Young of Mulberry, Fla.; 34 grandchildren and 51 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.
m. Sunday in Hanson Funeral Home, Ada, with the Rev. Leonard Stacht officiating. Burial will be in Eagle Creek Cemetery, near Williamstown in Hancock County. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p. m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p. m. Saturday.

ADA - Ray A Grubaugh, 49. of Payette, Idaho, and formerly of Ada, died at 9 p.m. Tuesday at Holy Rosary Hospital. Ontario, Ore., following an apparent heart attack.
He was born Jan 6. 1930. in Hardin County, the son of Wilson H and Bessie Mae Bame Grubaugh. He was a sheet metal worker for Champion Home Builders. Weaser. Idaho He was also a veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Surviving are two brothers, Franklin of Seattle. Wash . and Roy of Covington, and five sisters. Mrs. Wilma Bair of Kindlay. Mrs. George (Grace) Moore of Payette. Idaho. Mrs Helen Kollars of Cridersville. Mrs Charles (Ruth) Rettig of Ada. and Mrs. Ahmet  (.Janice) Krodgen of Santa Ana. Calif. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home Burial will be in Eagle Creek Cemetery. Hancock County Graveside services will be conducted by the Ada Veteran of Foreign Wars Post. Friends may call all day Sunday at the funeral home.

 Carroll A. Morey, 81, a semi-retired professor at Findlay College , died early Saturday at his home. Born Oct. 25, 1888, in Denver , Colo. , he was the son of Chester and Helen Rogers Morey. He came to Findlay College In 1921 after teaching at Illinois and South Dakota . His wife Patrice Price Morey survives. They were married June 30, 1934. 
Also surviving is a sister, Mrs. Arthur (Hazel) Ware of Arvada , Colo. He was a member of the college First Church of God. He attended Oberlin College and the i University of Colorado , and was named acting president of Findlay College from 1945-47. He served as dean of the college from 1929 to 1958 and was named dean emeritus in 1958. Services will be 3 p.m. Thursday at the Kirkpatrick-Hawkins Funeral Home, Rev. Robert M. Bistline and Dr. W. T. Jackson officiating. Burial will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7-9 p.m. tonight and 3-5 and 7-9 Monday.

ARLINGTON - Services for Kenneth Morgan Long, 57, will be p.m. today in Good Hope Lutheran Church Rev. James Robson officiating. Burial will be in Arlington Cemetery. A State Highway Department employe, Mr. Long died at 4 a.m. Friday at his home following a heart attack. He was born Dec. 3. 1909 in Wharton, the son of Kenneth and Winifred Krider Long. He was married Oct. 9, 1943 to Ruth Houdeshell. who survives. 
Also surviving arc two sons, Richard and Willard, both at home; two daughters. Mrs. Ian (Sue) Rossman of here and Anne Long of Columbus: one ,grandchild; one sister. Mrs. Charles Riegle of Arlington and  three brothers. Charles of Zanesfield, V. W. of Toledo and W.  A. of Sylvania. Friends may call at Dally Funeral Home until time of services.

FINDLAY - Services for John D. Houdeshell, 87, of 217 Marshall will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Kirkpatrick-Hawkins Funeral Home, Rev. C. E. Jeffers officiating. Burial will be in Arlington Cemetery . Mr. Houdeshell died 12:30 am. Sunday in Blanchard Val ley Hospital of a cerebral hemorrhage. Born April 3, 1883, in Van Buren Township, he was the son of Manuel and Mary Bame  Houdeshell. He married Josie Riegle in 1904, and she died in 1940. He married Jennie Kelly Cowles in 1943, and she survives .Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Carl (Ora Jane) Bishop of Rt. 4 and Mrs. Gamut (Blanche) Bame of here; a son, David H. of here: a stepdaughter, Mrs. Robert (Margaret) Dieter of Fostoria two stepsons, Everett and Charles both of here; and two sisters, Mrs. Clarence (Laura) Rieble of 651 Columbia Dr. Lima, and Mrs. Maggie Ash of  Ada. Friends may call at the funeral home.

FINDLAY — Funeral services were to have been held today for Teddy Joe Houdeshell, 32, of Findlay , who died Saturday morning in Toledo Medical College Hospital . He had been seriously ill for six months.  Born Aug. 9, 1939, in Arlington, he was a son of Ray M. and Lucille (Dangler) Houdeshell. His mother survives and resides in Findlay . Also surviving  are two children, Vickie Ranae and JoAnn, both of Van Wert; a sister, Mrs. Ronald (Darlene) Swihart of Findlay, and a half-brother. Richard  Routson of Pasco , Wash Services were to have been in Coldren Funeral Home, Findlay ,the Rev. Rolland Perkins officiating. Burial was to have been in Arlington Cemetery.

FINDLAY, Nov. 2 — Funeral services will he held at 2 p. m. Monday in the Vanlue Methodist church for Miss Enid Pratt, 52, native of Hancock-co who died Friday in East Side hospital, Toledo, from a heart ailment. She is survived by five brothers and one sister. Interment will be made in Van Horn cemetery near Vanlue.

FINDLAY , Nov. 4—Funeral arrangements were being made today for William Ernest Fuller, 71, retired carpenter who died Sunday afternoon at the Oman Convalescent home here after an illness of six months from a heart ailment. 
Surviving are a son, a half-sister, and two grandchildren. Fuller was a member of the Lutheran church for 50 years. 
The body was taken to the Coldren funeral home where rites will be held, at a time yet to be announced. Rev. W. E. Bradley, pastor of the First Lutheran church, will officiate and burial will be in Maple Grove cemetery.

FINDLAY . Nov. 4—Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. Wednesday in the Springfield Lutheran church for Mrs. Ralph Hemminger, of Findlay . who died Saturday in a Springfield hospital from injuries sustained in an auto collision near Urbana last Tuesday.  
Mrs. Hemminger had been an employe of a drug store here. Her husband is manager of the Bonded Oil Co. station here. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are her mother and a sister, both of Springfield . She was a native of Rushsylvania.

FINDLAY, Nov. 4—Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at the Hancock-co home for Mrs. Ada Renninger, 86, who died there Saturday at the county home from infirmities. Interment will be in Maple Grove cemetery. 
Mrs. Renninger's only survivor is a son, Reginald, of Hancock-co.

FINDLAY - Mrs. Garnet Friesner, 69, of Findlay died at 6:45 p. m. Tuesday in Blanchard Valley Hospital , Findlay . after a long illness.

Born Jan. 30. 1905, in Van Wert County, she was the daughter of Robert G and Cora (Wilt) Coombs. Survivors include her husband, Samuel H. Friesner, whom she married on Sept. 8. 1926; two daughters, Mrs. Sonja Norris and Mrs. Joyce A. Swisher, both of Findlay ; a brother. Frank Coombs of Middle Point; a sister, Mrs. Cordelia Shrider of Bowling Green and six grandchildren. Mrs. Friesner was a lifelong member of the Presbyterian Churches in Middle Point and Findlay .

Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. Friday in First Presbyterian Church, Findlay . the Rev. G. Terry
Bard and the Rev Walter R Gatton officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery , Findlay .

Friends may call at Kirkpatrick-Hawkins Funeral Home, Findlay , from 2-4 p m and from 7-9 p. m. Thursday.

Dec 19, 1905

Findlay - Sylvester Davis, postmaster at Mt. Cory, dropped dead this morning from heart disease while distributing mail at his office. He was 65 years of age and a veteran of the Civil War. He left a wife and five children.

About the same time in the little village of Arcadia, H. H. Nye, the postmaster died from stomach trouble. Mr. Nye was 70 years of age and had been postmaster of the village for five years. He leaves a wife and one child.

The two postmasters had been old time friends.

FINDLAY, Jan. 2 — Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p. m. Wednesday in the Rawson U. B. church for Mrs. Susan Jane Lashley, 65, who died Monday at her home in Rawson from leukemia. She had been ill for the past five years. She was born in Orange-tp and had been a lifelong resident of Hancnck-co. Surviving are her  husband, Hary Lashley, a daughter, a son, a brother, two half-sisters, a half-brother and four grandchildren.

Rev. Hilliard B. Camp, pastor of Rawson U. B. church, will officiate at the service and interment will be in Flick cemetery, near Rawson.

Findlay - Services were to be held in the McComb Methodist church today for Lorenzo Dow Smith, 82, former Deweyville postmaster, who died late Saturday night in his home in McComb.
For many years, he operated a grocery store in Deweyville, where the postoffice was. He often had substituted as rural mail carrier and also was a tax assessor for a time.
Besides his wife, he is survived by three sons, C. F. and C. W. Smith, Toledo; and Earl Smith, McComb; two daughters, Mrs. A. M. Humes, and Mrs. Nettie Kelley, Toledo; and a sister, Mrs. Laura Webber, McComb. One child died in infancy.
