FINDLAY, Aug. 1 - Last rites will be conducted at 2 p. m. Saturday in Pleasant Grove U. B. church for Elmer J. Pepple, 77, well known Hancock-co farmer who died Wednesday night in his farm home in Jackson-tp from a heart attack. He died while doing his chores. His wife found his body. Surviving are his widow, the former Elma E. Woodruff, and several brothers and sisters. Interment will be in the Bishop cemetery, south of Findlay. [Lima News, Aug 1, 1940]
Katherine H. Moore Pierce
Funeral services for Katharine H. Pierce, 77, of 523 Fishlock Ave., will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Coldren-Crates Funeral Home, the Rev. Dan Young officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Pierce died at 6:45 a.m. Saturday at Blanchard Valley Hospital.
She was born Jan. 31, 1909 in Hancock County to William J. and Bertha (Norris) Moore. She married Robert H. Pierce and he later died on Nov. 21, 1974.
Surviving are a son, Robert S., of Findlay; a daughter, Mrs. Theodore (Linda K.) Fleckenstein, Minster; two grandchildren; two brothers; Robert C. Moore, Findlay; Scott C. Moore, Albuquerque, N.M.; and three sisters, Mrs. Edward (Annabelle) Fontaine, Findlay; Mrs. Clarence (Alice) Plas, Anna; Mrs. Michael (Sarah) Saldusky, Fostoria.

Robert H. Pierce
Robert H. Pierce, 63, 523 Fishlock Ave., died at 1 a.m. Thursday at Blanchard Valley Hospital, following a two-year illness.
He was born April 30, 1911 in Rock Island, Ill, to Dr. H. H. and May (Stephenson) Pierce. He married Katharine H. Moore June 13, 1941, and she survives. Also surviving are one son Robert S., at home; one daughter Mrs. Theodore (Linda) Fleckenstein, Route 1, Minster; two grandchildren.
Mr. Pierce was a staff sergeant in Quartermaster Corp., 80th company and a member of the Toledo chapter Disabled American Veterans.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Coldren Funeral Home, the Rev. Bene W. Anstine officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

FINDLAY, March 11 - Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon in the E. Foulkt-av Church of God here for Mrs. Mary Catherine Pletcher, 71, who died Sunday night here at the home, of her daughter, Mrs. Charles Clerk, from apoplexy and heart trouble. A native of Columbus Grove, she had resided in Findlay for the past 50 years. Her husband, Joseph Pletcher, died 10 years ago. Funeral services for Alice L. Plas, 87, formerly of Findlay, will be held at 10:30 a.m. today at St. Michael Catholic Church, St. Patrick, the Rev. Steven Shoup officiating. Burial will be in St. Patrick Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 9-10 a.m. today at N. J. Hogenkamp Sons Funeral Home, Minster.

FINDLAY, Nov. 2 - Funeral services will he held at 2 p. m. Monday in the Vanlue Methodist church for Miss Enid Pratt, 52, native of Hancock-co who died Friday in East Side hospital, Toledo, from a heart ailment.
