 Alger Soldier Listed as Missing
Pvt. Wiber Tackett Korea War  Casuelty
 
Alger:

 The second Alger  soldier to be missing in action in Korea is Pvt. Wiber Tackett, 18 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Tackett of Alger. Pvt. Tackett, according to a telegraph received by his parents, has been missing since Dec. 4. The youth enlisted in April 6, 1950 and was sent overseas in August.  Tackett's father is a veteran of World War Two. Two brothers and two sisters live at home.

Military funeral services were held today at 9 a.m. in the Church of Immaculate Conception church for Cpl. LeRoy Bernard, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bernard, the first Kenton man to die of wounds in action.
A member of Co. E, he was wounded July 31 and died Aug. 2, somewhere in the southwest Pacific.
