Funeral services for Shirley Sheldon, 10-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Sheldon of this city, will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Brindlay and Son mortuary here. Rev. Kenneth Shepherd of Lowellsville, Oh, and former pastor of First United Presbyterian church here, will be in charge and burial will be in Grove cemetery.
The little girl died Friday at Antonio hospital after an illness with which she was stricken last Sunday. She was a pupil in the fifth grade at Grammar school here and was graduated from West school last year. She attended First United Presbyterian where Mrs. Kenneth Shepherd, formerly Miss Helen Park, was her Sunday school teacher for a number of years
Surviving are her parents, her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Johnston.

Funeral services were held at the Schindewolf funeral home here Saturday for Mrs. Charles Wilcox, 84, who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Bert Veil at St. Petersburg, Fla. Dr. Thomas B. Roberts, pastor of First Methodist church was in charge. Burial was made in Grove cemetery here. The body was shipped from Florida. Mrs. Wilcox was a former resident of near Kenton.

Funeral services for Mrs. Earl Stephenson, 36, former resident of Roundhead and Kenton who died in Cleveland on Sunday, wre held in Cleveland Tuesday. The body was shipped to Belle Center where further services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Postlc funeral home. Burial will be in Roundhead cemetery.
Mrs. Stephenson, the former Miss Patricia Wagner, was stricken with paralysis last Wednesday as she returned to her home from a Parent-Teacher-assn meeting. She was removed to a Lakewood hospital and died Sunday without regaining consciousness.
She was born Aug. 10, 1904, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S.J. Wagner. She lived here when her father was a teacher at the North school and later went to Roundhead when he accepted a teaching position there. She was graduated from Roundhead high school and later attended Miami university. She was a teacher of home economics in Cleveland when she was married. She recently wrote a number of articles on home economics for several farm publications. When in Kenton she was a member of the United Presbyterian church.

Surviving are her husband, two sons, Stephen Michael and Samuel Patrick Stephenson; her father S.J. Wagner of Roundhead, and a sister, Mrs. W.O. Dunson of Columbus.

Ada

Marion Kindle, 75, died at noon yesterday at the home of his son Marion, four miles northeast of Ada.
Besides his son he is survived by a brother, Lyman, of Ada, and a sister, Mrs. Minnie Coon, of Wilmington.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Dola M.P. church, of which he was a member, with Rev. E.I. Okee, pastor officiating. Burial will be in Dola cemetery. The body will remain at the Lantz funeral home until time of services.

Funeral services for Darlene Joy Ward, 6 month-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. O.G. Ward of Hepburn, will be held Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at the Hepburn Methodist church with Rev. W.M. Gross in charge, assisted by Rev. E.M. Burroughs. Burial will be in Lee cemetery.
The baby died Tuesday at Antonio hospital after an illness of five days of bronchial pneumonia. She was born in Hepburn on April 1, 1940.
Surviving are the parents, four sisters, Mrs. Wallace Montgomery of Belle Center, Mrs. Robert Woodward of Lima and Florence and Phyllis Ward at home; two brothers, Orville and Brazil Clark both of Hepburn.

Alger

J. N. Newland, 88, oldest member of the Central Methodist church here, died at 4:30 p.m. yesterday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Gertrude Shackelford. He had been ill 18 months with complications.
Newland was a native of Logan-co but had resided 46 years in Alger. Also surviving are another daughter, Mrs. Walter Vorhees, of East Sparta; two sons, Elzie Newland, of Gutman, and Ottis Newland of Alger; 20 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Rites will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Central Methodist church with burial in Alger cemetery. Rev. Walter Clark, pastor will be assisted by Rev. Arthur Oliver, of Ridgeway
The body will be removed to the Shackelford home Friday evening.

Funeral services for John M. Toner, 72, well known Kenton grocery keeper of 232 S. Wayne-st, will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Schindewolf funeral home with Rev. Herbert E. Pfister, pastor of St. John Evangelical Reformed church in charge. Burial will be in Grove cemetery.
Toner died in Antonio hospital here Friday after an illness of two weeks of pneumonia. He was born in Marseilles, but had lived in Kenton 40 years. He was a foreman at The Kenton Hardware Co for 21 years and for the last six years had operated a grocery.
Surviving are the widow, Carrie, one daughter, Mrs. Harold Eddy of Ada; one sister, Miss Mollie Toner, both of Forest, and two grandchildren, Norma Jean Hubbell and John Harold Eddy, both of Ada.

Kenton

Funeral services for Harper Lee Moore, 61, who died at his home here late Monday, will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at the Hempy and Shields funeral home in Forest with Rev. E.P. Smith, retired Presbyterian minister in charge. Burial will be in Hueston cemetery, near Forest.
Moore died after suffering a stroke of paralysis on Monday afternoon. He had been in failing health for several years. He was born in Cardington, on April 16, 1879, lived in Forest for a number of years and had lived in Kenton for the last 14 years. During his life he was engaged in automobile painting and was formerly employed here. He was a member of the Presbyterian church and the Maccabee lodge.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Lulu Moore; two daughters, Mrs. Edison Overly and Doris Virginia Moore, both of Kenton, and one brother, William Moore of Williamstown.

Last services for Mrs. Jennie May Wagner, 67, prominently-known local nurse, were held today at 2:30 p.m. at the Pence funeral home here with Dr. Thomas B. Roberts, pastor of First Methodist church in charge. Burial was in Grove cemetery.
Mrs. Wagner died late Saturday at her home here after a serious illness of three days. She was born in Johnstown, Pa., on Sept 1, 1872, but had lived here 41 years. For 10 years she was employed as a nurse at San Antonio hospital here. She was an active member of First Methodist church. Her husband, George A. Wagner, died 21 years ago. Surviving are one son, Ambert Wagner, deputy in the Hardin-co surveyor's office; and one daughter, Mrs. Mary Jane Rose of Columbus; three grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Joseph Werry of Johnstown, Pa., and Mrs. Anna Ramsey of Munhall, Pa., and one brother William Litzinger of Johnstown, Pa.

Funeral services for George Ferner, 86, well known Pleasant-tp, Hardin-co man who died Sunday in the County hospital, were held today at 9 a.m. at the  Church of Immaculate Conception  here with Re. Fr. H.J. Schumacher, pastor, in charge. Burial was made in St. Marys cemetery here. Ferner was born in New York City on Apr 23, 1853, but had lived practically all his life here. He was married to Syvilla Dehl and was a member of the Church of  Immaculate Conception here. Surviving are one son, John Ferner of Toledo, and two sisters, Barbara Cook of Kenton and Syvilla Marshall of Forest. A son Frank Ferner, died in 1937. A sister and three brothers also preceded him in death. A number of nieces and nephews survive.

Funeral rites were to be held Tuesday afternoon in the Price funeral home here for Charles E. Dome, 58, retired businessman with burial in Hueston cemetery.
Mr. Dome taught school in the Hardin-co system 11 years before going into business. His widow; his mother; one son; two brothers. and two sisters survive.

John L. Cotton, 86, of 31 E. Highland-av, Ada, died Monday at the Lyle convalescent home here after an extended illness. Mr. Cotton, who was born March 23, 1855, in Mt. Vernon, is survived by a son Frank, of Detroit, and three grandchildren. Final rites will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Lantz funeral home with Rev. W. A. Condon in charge. Burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery,  Ada.

Services for Mrs. Lovina Cook, 84, who died Thursday, will be at 1 p. m. Sunday in the Hull funeral home here with burial in Grove cemetery.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Margaret Rostorfer, St. Johns; and Mrs. Mary Noble, Garrett, Ind., a son, Dee, Buck-tp; three brothers, Darius Sieg, Taylor Creek-tp; David, Zanesville and John, Mt. Victory, and seven grandchildren.
