Laurelville is a village in Hocking
County, Ohio. The population was 533 at the 2000 census. Laurelville is
located in Perry Township's southwestern corner, at the junction of Rt.
56 and Rt. 180. The Hocking State Forest is located outside
Laurelville. The community was named for Laurel Creek, which was
named for the laurel bushes growing in the area
