John Floyd Brohard

John F. Brohard died at his home in Jackson township Sabbath afternoon, March 18, 1906 after a brief illness, aged 56 years, 9 months and 1 day. He leaves a bereaved wife and three children to mourn his loss. Oh, how he is missed at his fireside, no more will we hear tht welcome footstep or the loving voice. How he will be missed at the little chruch at Pleasant Valley, where he labored so long for the cause of Christ. He had been for a good many years, superintendent of the Sabbath school, also deacon of the church. But to one so faithful death was a gain.

His funeral took place from Pleasant Valley, Wednesday, March 21. The services were conducted by his pastor, Rev. J. W. Campbell assisted by Rev. Cary of Ironton after which he was laid to rest in Hickman Cemetery.
