CLAAR SERVICES HELD ON FRIDAY
-------------
Carey Claar Dies At Home Wednesday Morning

For the second time in about two months death visited the Claar home at Fourmile Wednesday morning and took this time Carey W. Claar. His father, the late William Claar died the latter part of June at the age of 93 years and at the time his son was so ill that he could not attend the burial. He had been ill since May and for a few weeks it was recognized by his family that they had little to build hope for his recovery.
He was 67 years of age and lived all of his life on the farm where he has born and died. Since the death of his mother, his sister, Ella Claar, have lived on the farm with his father and this leaves the sister alone on the old home farm, which has been in the family for almost a century. He was a brother to the well known Claar brothers, W.C. and R.C. clothing dealers on Main street and another brother H.H. Claar lives at Mankato, Minn. A sister Mrs. Jessie Patterson lives in Columbus.
Funeral services were held at the Claar home Friday afternoon conducted by Dr. W. B. Taylor and the burial was in Fairmount in charge of Funeral Director John Thomas.
