Lucille Cooper, age 85, of Route 4 Oak Hill, died February 11 at Holzer Medical Center.
Born in Jackson County December 9, 1903 to Edward Scurlock and Annie (Williams) Scurlock, she was a lifelong member of the Thurman Eastern Star and the Thurman Methodist Church.

She is survived by one son, Edward Cooper, of Oak Hill, Route 4, three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and one sister, Amy Kinsell of Columbus.

Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Kuhner-Lewis Funeral Home in Oak Hill, with Rev. Durk Elliott officiating and burial in Fairmount Cemetery in Jackson.

Friends may call from 3-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
