HILDENBRAND--Mrs. Mary Hildenbrand widow of Elias Hildenbrand, died at her home on South Street, Wednesday July 26th. Her funeral was held at the home last Saturday, and her remains were interred in Fairmount Cemetery. She was born November 19, 1810. She and her husband came to this county from Jefferson County, Ohio about 1840, and they settled in Lick township in 1847. In 1871, they removed to Greenfield, Ohio, where the husband died March 17, 1888, aged 81 years and 11 months. She and daughter Leah, then returned to this county, and the latter remained with her mother until her death. She had three sons, and eight daughters. The sons died in youth, but the daughters survive. They are Leah, who lived with her mother, Mrs. Matilda Behm who lives at Keitesville, Missouri, Mrs. Mary Behm who lives in Sullivan County, Indiana, Mrs. Ann Burris who lives in Harrison County, Missouri, Mrs. Eliza Chesnut of Greenfield, Ohio, Mrs. Catherine Aleshire, Mrs. Elizabeth Scurlock and Mrs. Martha Hank, all of this county.
