Sep 25, 1849- Died on 21st inst. at the Mansion House in Mt. Vernon, Mr. Samuel Hildreth of Frederickstown, Knox Co., Ohio

Oct 9, 1849- Died at the house of David Potwin, Esq. in Mt. Vernon on Sabbath, Sep 30, 1849, Jefferson Hildreth son of  Miner Hildreth Esq. of  Miller twp., aged 20y and 5d.

Oct 9, 1849 - Died on Monday last at his residence near Newark, Mr. George Baker, aged 55. He was a native of England, lived a short time Brownsville, Penna.and moved to Newark, Ohio in 1822 (Newark Advocate Sept. 29)

Oct 16, 1849 - Died on 2d inst. in Bloomfield Twp., Morrow County Mrs. Ann Potter, wife of Captain Lemuel Potter, aged 63 yrs. 8 mo. and 17ds. The deceased was a native of New York state, emigrated with her husband and family to this state in 1818. Was a member of the Baptist church.

Oct 23, 1849 - Died on Sunday morning, Sept. 30th in Frederickstown, Knox County, Ohio, Mary Ellen Lewis, aged 22 yrs. 9 mo.

Oct 23, 1849 - Died on Monday, Oct. 1st, George H. Kellam in the 30th year of his age.

Oct. 23, 1849 - Died on Monday evening, Oct. 1st, Mrs. Eleanor Miller, in the 22d year of her age.

Oct. 23, 1849 - Died on Sunday evening, Oct. 7th David M. Amadon in his 30th year.

Oct 30. 1849 - Died in Mt. Vernon on the 8th inst. Miss Selvinv Wright wife of Mr. Isaac Wright and only daughter of Mr. Richard Philips, aged 26 years.

Nov 6, 1849 - Died at the residence of her father in Clinton Twp. on Saturday the 3d inst., Miss Novina, third daughter of Mr. Joseph Beeny in the 18th year of her age.

Nov 27, 1849 - Died in Ankenytown, Knox Co., Ohio on 3d inst., Sherman Holister, aged 39 yrs. 8 mo. and 11 days. (Ind. and Ill. papers please copy)

*Death of a Pioneer*

Special to the Commercial Gazette.

Mt. Vernon, O., July 25--*Mrs. Sophia Browning*, widow of *Rufus Browning,*formerly of Belpre, O, died in this city this morning of old age and general exhaustion aged eighty six. The deceased had been totally blind for the past
twenty three years, but was a woman of most estimable character. The remains
were taken to Belpre for interment.
