Martha Negreas
After apparently being on the road to recovering following wounds accidently received a week or so previous when she was shot by an automatic revolver in the hands of a boarder, Jacob Blanca, Mrs. Martha Negreas, of South Amherst, passed away at the hospital Friday morning. She had just undergone an operation for the removal of the bullet, which was discovered by an X-ray, and peritonitis is believed to have been the direct cause of death. The man who shot her is now serving a sentence in the county jail at Elyria. The funeral was held Wednesday morning from the Amherst Furniture company's parlors at 11:30 o'clock. In charge was a Russian priest from Cleveland. Interment was in Elmwood cemetery.
