MANCHESTER, William C., lawyer; born, Canfield, O., (Manhorning Co) Dec. 25, 1873; son of Hugh A. and Susan Rozanne (Squire) Manchester; took a six-year course in Northeastern Ohio Normal College, Canfield, graduating, degree of A.B., 1894; graduate University of Michigan, Law Department, LL.B., 1896; married at Bay City, Mich., Dec. 27, 1898, Margaret Katherine MacGregor. Visited Pacific coast after leaving college and returned to Ohio, where he was with law firm of Hine & Clarke, Younstown, until Jan. 1, 1897, when he began practice in Detroit; member law firm of Manchester & Prentis, 1902-1907; is now practicing alone. Elected delegate to Constitutional Convention, State of Michigan, 1907. Member Detroit Bar Association, Michigan Bar Association. Member Detroit Board of Commerce. Republican as to politics.
