FT. RECOVERY, Aug. 2-Funeral services will be held at the St. Peter Catholic church Saturday morning at 9 o'clock for Mrs. Mathilda M. Grieshop, 38,. who died at her home near St Peter on Wednesday night. Surviving are the husband, her mother, three brothers and three sisters. Burial in the church cemetery.

CELINA. Aug. 2-Funeral services will be held at St. Paul's Methodist church here Saturday afternoon at 1:10 o'clock for Mrs. Martha Ellen Straley, 76, who died at her home here Thursday morning following a lingering illness. Surviving are three sons, one daughter, one sister and five grandchildren. Burial at Gas City, Ind.  

SHARPSBURG , Aug. 2 —Funeral services will be held at St. Paul 's Catholic church Saturday morning at 9 o'clock for Mrs. Mary A. Haury  who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Rosa M. Bihn, here Wednesday. Surviving are the daughter, one brother, three sisters, one grandchild and three great grandchildren. Burial in the church cemetery.

MARGARET V. GRAY, 76, died at 8:50 p.m. May 24, 1996, in Community Hospital , Cold-
water. She was born Oct. 19, 1919, in Celina to Elias and Mary Peters Daugherty. On Dec. 12, 1938, she married George E. Gray, who died Feb. 23, 1960. Mrs. Gray was a homemaker. Survivors include two sisters, Opal Kline of Wisconsin and Martha Lower of St. Marys;  and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters. Services will begin at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Lehman Funeral Home, Celina. The Rev. Stanley Gerboth will officiate. Burial will be in Swamp College Cemetery , Celina. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

CLEADIS  L.  GRAY, 85, died at 5:20 p.m. Nov. 28, 1993, at the home of his granddaughter, Ricki Sue Grunden, in Columbus . He was born July 30, 1908, in Celina, to Edward and Arabelle Palmer Gray. On Oct. 5, 1934, he married Audra Adams, who died Sept.19, 1981.Mr. Gray retired from Celina
City
Water Works. He played semi-pro baseball for many years. Survivors also include a brother, Harold (Bill) Gray of Celina. He was preceded in death by a daughter, seven sisters, and two brothers. Services will begin at 10:30
a.m. Wednesday at Lehman Funeral Home, Celina. The Rev. Donald Davis will officiate. Burial will be in Swamp College Cemetery , Celina. Friends may call 7 to 9 tonight at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to End Time Feed the Hungry Program.

MENDON — Mrs. Gail Baxter, 89, formerly of Mendon died at 5:45 a. m.
today in the Briarwood Manor Nursing Home, Coldwater. Born April 4, 1887, in Mercer County , she was the daughter of Charles and
Cora (Heppeard) Fryer. She married Frank Shelley in 1908 and he died in 1953. In 1957 she married Floyd Griffin who died in 1959. She later married Ross Baxter who died in, 1968. She is survived by a son Howard Shelley of Pontiac, Mich.; four grandchildren  and   two great- grandchildren.  She was also preceded in death by a son Reed Shelley. Mrs. Baxter was a member of the Mendon United Methodist Church and the Mendon Chapter of the Eastern
Star She was formerly employed at Reynolds and Reynolds, Celina and Goodyear in St. Marys. Funeral services will be at l:30 p.m. Saturday in W. H. Dick and Son Funeral Home, Mendon. with the Rev. Terry Pontius officiating Burial will  in the Mendon Cemetery . Friends may call from 2-5 and 7-9

MENDON -Ada M. Zeigler, 75, died at 5:12 p.m. Thursday at the Van Wert County Hospital. She was born April 17, 1910 in Mercer County , the daughter of Thomas R and Eva Tomlinson Nichols. On Aug. 8, 1930. she married Creighton Zeigler, who survives. Mrs. Zeigler was a member of
the Mendon United Methodist Church and its WSCS. Survivors also include five sons, James Zeigler of Glendora . Calif. , Tom Zeigler of Troy . David Zeigler of Cleveland . Paul Zeigler and Bill Zeigler, both of Celina; four daugh-
ters. Mrs. Arthur ( Mary) Finnegan of Celina, Mrs. Robert (Jo) Mosier, of Ohio City . Mrs. Harold (Carol) Welker of Troy and Mrs. Wayne (Phyllis) Gamble of Mendon; 25 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Frances Tripplett of Waterloo , Ind.and Loma Schleisser of Toledo. CELINA - Carrie Mae Jenkins, 81, of here, died at 5:25 pm Saturday at Shane Hill Nursing Home, Rockford. She was born Jan 1, 1911, in Celina, the daughter of Edward and Christina Stillberger  Coate. In September 1927, she married Gleason Roebuck, who died  June 1932. On Sept. 24, 1933, she 
married Orville Jenkins, who died Oct 20,1979. Msr. Jenkins was retired from
Reynolds and Reynolds in Celina. She was a member of the United Church of Christ, Wabash. Survivors include one son Donald Roebuck of Coldwater,.
five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister Cora Lyons  of Celina. and one brother Charles Coate of Celina. She was preceded in death by one daughter,  Betty Boroff Burch  and one  brother John Carl Coate. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the United Chruch of Christ, Wabash,  Rev. Wilton Hull officiating.  Burial will be in Swamp College Cemetery , Celina. Friends may call until 5 and 7 to 9 p m today at Lehman Funeral Home,Celina. and after 1 p m. Tuesday at the church.

CELINA - Rue Roebuck, 86, died Friday at Green Valley ( Ariz. )
Nursing Home. She was born May 16, 1897, in Mercer County , the daughter of Birt and Cora McDaniels Hankins. On Oct. 11, 1919, she married C..G.
Roebuck, who died June 26,1977. Mrs. Roebuck was a member of
the First Church of God in Neptune. Survivors include a son, Neal Roebuck of Green Valley , Ariz. ; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Anna Blank of Huntington Park , Calif. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at W.H. Dick and Sons Funeral Home, Celina, Rev. Charles Corbin officiating. Burial will be in Mercer Memory Gardens.

SPENCERVILLE - C. H. (Doc) Miller, 79, of Spencerville and formerly of Rockford died at 2:45 p m.Sunday in his home following an extended illness Born Nov. 14. 1894. in Liberty Township . Mercer County , he was a
son of Marks and Rosa (Bader) Miller. Survivors include his widow, the
former Bernice Mae Fifer, whom he married on Aug 6, 1929; two sons.
Corwin of Celina and Robert L. of Spencerville; lour grandchildren; five
step-grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Mr. Miller was an Army veteran of World War I and a 56-year member of Glen D. Eckhart American Legion Post of Rockford He was also a. retired well driller. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p. m. Wednesday in Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home, Spencerville. the Rev. M L. Young and the Rev. K. Roy Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery , near Rockford . Military graveside rites will be conducted by the American Legion at the cemetery. Friends may call after 7 p. m. today at the funeral home.

Dale Roebuck, 72, of 288 S. Collins died at noon Friday in Lima Memorial Hospital . Born in Mercer County Aug. 10, 1902, he was the son of Clem
and Louetta Cross Roebuck. He married Bernice Mae Anselman in 1922 and she survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Theodore (Norma) Miller
of 3157 Harding Hwy. ; a son, Dr. Doyle Roebuck of Marysville; a brother, Curtis of Celina; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in Bayliff and Son Funeral Home, Cridersville, Rev. Robert Turner officiating. Burial will be in East Bethel Cemetery in Mercer County . Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and until time of services Sunday.

Lawrence R. Wilson, 91, died at 12:30 am May 2, 1995, in Celina Manor Nursing Home. Celina. He was born Nov. 21. 1903, in Hopewell Township , Mercer County , to John A. and Pearl Ricketta Wilson On Aug. 25, 1930. he married Anna Wright, who died Sept 24. 1991. Mr. Wilson retired from the Mercer County Highway Department and farmed in Hopewell Township for many years. He was a member of St. Paul 's United Methodist Church . Celina, and a graduate of Celina High School . Survivors include a son, Larry E. Wilson of Celina; two daughters, Betty Bowsher of Celina and Shirley Bremke of Sidney : a brother, John A. Wilson of Celina; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers. George, Carl, Lee, and Robert Wilson, and a sister, Mayme Carpenter. Services will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday at W.H Dick and Sons Funeral Home,Celina.  The Rev Dr H Douglas Shriner will officiate Burial will be in North Grove Cemetery, Celina. SPENCERVILLE - Jocie Roebuck, 80,. died at 3:30 a.m. today at her home following  an extended illness.
She was born Sept 16, 1903, in Rockford, the daughter of Eugene and Agnes Tomlinson Archer. On Nov. 3, 1923, she married Rev. Garrison Roebuck, who survives. Mrs. Roebuck assisted her husband in serving several United Brethren churches in the area including the former Forest Park United Brethren Church in  Lima from 1955-59. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, its United Methodist Women, Gleaners Class and Joy Circle. Survivors also include four sons, Lee Roebuck of Mendon. Lamar Roebuck of  Lima, Forest (Woody) Roebuck of Rockford and Virgil (Pete) Roeback of Cridersville; two daughters Mrs. Warren (Lucille) Douce and Mrs. Charles (Lois) Abram, both of Columbus; 11 grandchildren; 11 great- grandchildren;  and two brothers, Merritt and Hugh Archer, both of Mendon. Services will be at 2:30 pm 
Sunday at Trinity United Methodist Church, Rev. Dr. Hugh  W.  Bowland officiating. Burial in Tomlinson cemetery. Friends may call at the Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home. Spencerville,  from 7 to 9 tonight and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9  p.m. Saturday The body will be taken to the church to liee in state Sunday from 1 p. m. until time of services. JODY K. BINZ, 45, died at 11:08 a.m., Feb. 6, 1996, at her residence. She was born Sept 27, 1950, in Plain City to H. Joe and Wanda (Tolbert) Rummell. Her mother survives in Plain City . On March 3, 1979, she married Michael A. Binz, who survives. Mrs. Binz was an insurance agent with Binz Insurance Services, Celina. She was affiliated with Presbyterian Church, Plain City . She is also survived by a sister, Jenny Brill of Milford Center. Services will begin at 2 p.m. Feb. 17 at Ferguson Funeral Home, Plain City . Memorial contributions may be made to Greenpeace. ROCKFORD David A. Beams, 82, of Mercer, died at 9:55 a.m. Thursday in the Shane .Hill Nursing Home here. Born Nov 2, 1889, in Mercer County , he was a son of David - and Melinda Keister Beams. His
wife, the former Mable Williamson, died in 1935. Survivjng are three sons, Robert of Columbus, Charles of
Marysville and Gene of Findlay; a daughter, Mrs. R. B. Delores) Humphreys of Dayton; 16 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and a sister, Mrs. Harley ( Lillian) Long of Celina. A veteran of World War I, he was a former employe of the Mercer County Highway Department. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home. Ruth Mae McClelland, 64, of 114 Burlington Place died at 6 50 p.m. Sunday at St Rita's Medical Center. She was born June 27,1914, in Rockford, the daughter of Grover and Lavina Mary Karch Burris. She married Albert B. McClelland who survives. Mrs. McClelland retired from the Lima Public School System after working at Westwood Elementary School. She was a member of Phi Beta Psi Sorority for 31 years and had served as president of lota Kappa Chapter from 1952-55 and 1967-68.Survivors also include a daughter. Susan Alexander of 63 Sherwood Court ; and two sisters, Mrs. Thorsen (Helen)  Henkle and Mrs. William ( Dorothy) Pifer both of Rockford. Services will be at 1:30 p. m. Wednesday at Siferd Westwood Chapel Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery,. Rockford. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p. m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Parish scripture service will he at 8 p m. MENDON - Luella M. Trempert, 82, of here, died at 1:45 p.m. Saturday at St Rita's Medical Center . She was born May 18,1904. in Auglaize County , the daughter of Walter A and Minnie Miller Barber. On Sept. 6, 1930, she named Norman Trempert, who died Sept. 16,1981. Mrs. Trempert was a homemaker. She was a charter member of Calvary-Evangelical Methodist Church , near Mendon, where she served as pianist. Survivors include one son, Ralph Trempert of St Marys; one daughter, Wanda Trempert of St. Marys; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Oran Barber of Safety Harbor, Fla. ; and one sister, Mrs. Edgar ( Marian) Nelson of Yuba City . Calif. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Calvary-Evangelical Methodist Church , Rev Mark Cooper officiating.  Burial will be in the church cemetery. JOHN LUTH, 65, died at 5:05 p.m. March 20, 1998, at his residence. He was born March 31, 1932, in
Rockford to Harry John and Esta Perstorff Luth. On Feb. 12, 1984, he married Ginger Killingsworth
Bigelow. who survives. Mr. Luth waa a farmer.  He was a member of St John Lutheran Church , Hopewell Township . Survivors also include a son Tim Bigelow of Iwakuni , Japan ; two daughters, Kristi (Robert) McNew of Celina and Kimberly (Brad) Rainmel of Rockford, a brother, Ralph Luth of Celina; and four
grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Pauline Luth and Mary Meikle. Services will begin at 1.30 p.m. Tuesday at Lehman Funeral Home, Celina. The Rev. James Durnil will officiate. Burial will be a Buck Cemetery in Celina.

COLDWATER - Gary L. Baker, 49, of here, died at 10:37 a.m. Monday at Blanchard Valley Hospital , Findlay . He was born Jan. 2, 1942, in Sidney, the son of J. Herman and Frances Martin Baker. His mother survives in Troy . On April 10, 1967, he married Lois Braun, who survives.  Mr. Baker was a self-employed
millwright. Other survivors include three daughters. Carie Lynn of Oklahoma, Sara Jutte at home, and Ginger Leigh Baker of Sidney ; six sons. Terry Baker of of Oklahoma; Gary Lee Baker II, and Garth Langdon Baker, both of Sidney, Matthew R. Jutte, Adam Jutte, and Mark Baker, all at home; one grandchild; and two
brothers, Jon Baker, and Steve Baker, both of Sidney . Services will be at 10:30 am. Friday at Holy Trinity Church , Coldwater. with Rev. Keith Albrecht officiating. ZELAH V. SHAFFER, 94, died at 2:11 p.m. Wednesday at Community Hospital in Coldwater. She was born  April 18. 1899, in Blackcreek Township , Mercer County , to J .E. and Flora Laukhart Alspaugh. In 1919, she married Randall J. Shaffer, who died April 30, 1955. Mrs. Shaffer was a lifelong  Rockford resident and homemaker. Survivors include two sons, Max J. Shaffer of Mendon and Paul E. Shaffer of Fort Wayne , Ind, . a sister, Mrs. Esther Lockhart of Montpelier; and four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, a sister and three brothers. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home, Rockford . Rev. Glenn Masser will officiate.  Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery , Rockford . Marjorie Ann Whetstone, 63, died at 5:35 am. today, June 28,1994. at her home. She was born Sept. 2, 1930, in Celina, to Stanley and Beulah Dumbauld  Humbert.  On Nov 26,1965. she married Paul D. Whetstone, who survives. Mrs. Whetstone was a homemaker. She was a life member of Celina First Church of God, where she was a member  the I Do Sunday School class. WCSC,  Ladies Bible Study group and the Ohio Conference Nominating Committee. She was a 1948 graduate of Celina Senior High School. Survivors also include two sons,  Steve (Pam) Whetstone of Celina and Tim (Carol) Whetstone of Defiance , a daughter.
Linda (Dr William K) Templeton  of Indianapolis, a brother, Jerry Humbert of Troy ; and seven grandchildren. Services will begin at 10:30 am Thursday at Celina First Church of God,  The Rev Richard R Van Horn will officiate. Burial will be in Mercer Memory Gardens, Celina. Friends may call 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm Wednesday at W. H. Dick and Sons Funeral Home, Celina. Memorial contributions may be made lo Mercer County Hospice.

Ethel Leota Myers, 101, died at 7.05 p.m.  March 27,2000, at Lincolnway Nursing Home, Middle Point. She was born April 1,1898 Mercer County to Own Clemens and Malinda (Miller) Dilbone. On Feb 21, 1919,  she married William James Myers,  who died July 9, 1969. Mrs. Myers was a homemaker. She was a member of Calvary Evangelical Church, Van Wert. She was a member and post president of Van Wert Senior Citizens. Survivors include a son. Owen  L. Myers of Ft. Wayne, Ind ; two daughters, Margaret Louise Myers and Lillian Mae Samples  both of Van Wert; six grandchildren and 10 great -grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a ion William James Myers Jr.; a daughter, Mary Helen Miller, a brother, Otis B. Dilbone, and two sisters Neoma Louetta Swoveland and Mary A Taylor. Services will begin at 10:30 am
Friday at Cowan  & Son Funeral Home, Van Wert. The Rev. Raymond E. Feeck will officiate. Burial will be in Tomlinson Cemetery. Rockford. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m Thursday at the funeral home.

JUDY GRAY,57, died at  June 25, 2001, at Mercer Community Hospital in Coldwater. She was born on Nov. 21,1943. in Mendon to Wayne H and Betty (Miller) Kennedy Her father survives in Mendon.  On
Aug. 29,1970, she married  Paul 0 Gray, who survives. Mrs. Gray was a retired school teacher, having taught
at Celina Elementary School, Celina High School, Ft. Recovery Elementary School and St. Henry Junior High. She was a member of Grace Missionary Church , Celina. She was also a member of the National Education Association, Ohio Education Association, and Retired Teachers Association. Survivors also include a son John Gray of Celina; a daughter. Michelle (Shane) Smith of Celina; a brother. Keith Kennedy of Tucson . Ariz.: two sisters, Margaret Kennedy of Largo, Fla., and Lucille Binkley of Shelby, Mich.; and a granddaughter. Services will begin at 10:30 am. Thursday at the church the Rev. Steve Howell  will officiate. Burial will be at Hamilton-Bethel  Cemetery in Mendon. Friends may call from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm today at Lehman Funeral Home, Celina, or after 9:30 am Thursday at the church.

Hospital , Newark .Born in Union Township , Mercer County , Aug. 31, 1882, she was a daughter of the late
Levi and Lida (Palmer) Fireoved. Her husband, Austin, died in 1961. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Maxine) Putman of Newark ; one sister; a grandson; and two great-grandchildren. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at W.H. Dick and Son Funeral Home, Rev. Glenn Masser officiating. Burial will be in the Mendon Cemetery . She was born July 27, 1892, near St. Marys, the daughter of John and Doretta (Kohlhorst) Kilger On March 12, 1910, she married Harry Thomas, who died July 29, 1957. Mrs. Thomas was a homemaker. She was a member of Pleasant View Church of God and was a past member of Hopewell Grange.Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Dan (Maude) Hertenstein and Beatrice Rohrbach, both of St. Marys. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at W.H. Dick and Sons Funeral Home, Rev. Paul Tewell officiating. Burial will be in Neptune Cemetery .
