Celina- Loretta Blatteau, 78, died at 10:30 p.m.
Tuesday in Community Hospital, Coldwater.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Mary)
Schott and Dorothy Blatteau, both of here, and Ruth
Dauby of Miamisburg; 27 grandchildren and 20
great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in Immaculate
Conception Catholic Church. Burial will be in the church
cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 tonight at W.H.
Dick and Sons Funeral Home.

Edwin A Howick, 86, died at 11:25 p.m. Wednesday at
Coldwater Community Hospital.
He was born Nov. 20, 1894 in Celina, the son of Stephen
and Edith (Yocum) Howick.
Mr. Howick was a retired farmer.
Survivors include a son, Harold of Celina; and two
grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at W.H. Dick and
Sons Funeral Home, Celina. Burial will be in North Grove
Cemetery.
Friends may call from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at
the funeral home. |

Funeral services were held at St. Paul's Lutheran
church in Liberty-tp, Monday afternoon for Andrew Koch,
73, former Liberty-tp resident, who died at the Anspaugh
invalid home here Saturday. Surviving are one son,
Russell. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Celina- Sherman Houts, 72, died Sunday evening at the
home of his daughter, Mrs. Noah Sliverdecker. He
suffered a stroke several weeks ago.Besides Mrs. Sliverdecker he is survived by a son
Clarence of Celina, and another daughter, Mrs. Farrie
Miller of Indianapolis. Burial will be in North Grove
cemetery.

Charles Thomas Behm Sr., 77, life-long resident of
Mercer-co, died at 10:15 a.m. Thursday at the county
home where he had been an inmate for the last 14 years.
He was born March 16, 1868, the son of the late Mr. and
Mrs. Chris Behm. His wife died in 1934 and one daughter
is deceased. Surviving are four sons, William of Ft.
Wayne, Clarence of Celina, Chris of Wapakoneta and
Charles Jr., of Celina. There are 11 grandchildren, one
sister Mrs. Lydia Plummer of Akron, and a sister-in-law,
Mrs. Eva Behm of Celina .Funeral rites are planned for 9
a.m. Saturday at the local Catholic church. Burial will
be in Swamp College cemetery.

82, who died Friday at his home here. Final rites will
be conducted in the Dick and Stalter funeral home here
with burial in Swamp College cemetery. Besides his
widow, Vila, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Cecil
Clife, St. Marys, and Mrs. Leona Cencebaugh of here, and
a step-daughter, Mrs. Frank Jenkins, also of here.

home, Ft. Wayne, Ind, for Miss Ida Dibble, 82, formerly of here,
who died in St. Joseph hospital, Ft. Wayne, early Saturday. The
body will be removed to Celina for burial at 2 p.m. Tuesday in
North Grove cemetery. Surviving are a brother William of here,

Joseph J. Houser, 83, of Celina, died here at the
home of his daughter, Mrs. Oliver Ruwoldt, with whom he
had made his home for the last two years.
Surviving besides the daughter are two sons, Clarence of
Mendon and Lawrence, of Celina; two other daughters,
Mrs. Lucille Cook, Union City, In., and Mrs. Florence
Black, Coldwater; a half-sister, Mrs. Joe McGee, Celina,
and a half-brother, Ruffie Monroe, also of Celina.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the
Beaver chapel in Mercer-co. The body is at Pulskamp
funeral home, Celina, where friends may call.

illness due to complications of age. Mr. Kable was a

Final rites for William Cochran, 84, former resident
of Mercer-co, who died Tuesday in Palm City, Calif.,
will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Montezuma Church of
Christ with burial in Burge cemetery. The body will
remain at the Pulskamp funeral home here until services.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. J. G. Smoot,
Palm City; a son, Victor, St. Marys; two sisters and
three grandchildren.

Church of Immaculate Conception for Gustave Charles
Mathes, 77, who died at his home in Celina Saturday
morning of complications. Mr. Mathes was a native of
Germany, but had lived at Celina about 50 years. He was
an employee of the Stokley Co.Surviving are his widow,
Martha Gardner Albers Mathes; a step-daughter, Miss
Theresa Albers at home; four brothers, Frank, John,
Albert and Joseph, all of Dayton.The body will be
removed to the Pulskamp funeral home late Sunday
afternoon where friends may call. Burial will be in the
Catholic cemetery.
