Rockford - Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the home of a sister-in-law, Mrs. Mary Ann Kable, and at 2:30 at St. Paul's Evangelical and Reformed church for Jacob Kable, 80, Liberty-tp, lifelong resident of Mercer-co, who died Thursday evening at his home after a long illness due to complications of age. St. Henry - Funeral services will be held at St. Henry Catholic Church, Saturday at 9:30 a.m. for Rose Philomenia Kanney, 58, who died early Thursday at her home here following an illness due to cancer. Surviving are the husband, John Kanney, three brothers, Louis Ahlers, Dayton; Joseph Ahlers and Edward Ahlers, both of St. Henry; four sisters. Mrs. George Hendricks, Tiffin; Mrs. Joseph Wenning, Coldwater, and Mrs. William Dues and Mrs. William Bernard, both of St. Henry. Burial will be made in the St. Henry cemetery. Lucy Virginia Colson Karafit
Lucy Virginia Colson Karafit, 83, 5063 Karafit Road, Celina, died at 7:14 p.m. July 2, 2003, at Community Hospital, Coldwater.
She was born July 22, 1919, in Mercer County, to Frank and Mertie Mosier Colson. On Aug. 8, 1937, she married Frank Karafit who died Sept. 1984. Survivors are two daughters, Molly (Ben) Trisel, and Arlene Crumpler, all of Celina; a brother, Dick (Mary Jo) Colson, Celina; six grandchildren, a step-grandchild, six great-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren.
Deceased is a daughter and son-in-law, Marjorie and Jack Thompson, and a son-in-law, Jerry Crumpler; a brother and sister-in-law, Don and Mary Colson; a sister and brother-in-law, Burnell and Gerald Deitsch; and a grandson.
She was retired from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., St. MArys, after w0 years. She was a member of Montezuma United Church of Christ and the Celina Flower & Garden Club.

Eloise L. Kemp
Eloise L. Kemp, 79, of Spencerville, died at 6:13 p.m. Dec. 2 at Lima Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.
She was born July 23, 1922, in Lima, to Nathan J. and Lela Alice (Springer) Barnes. In December 1939, she married William Edwin Witherow and he died in October 1962. On April 11, 1966, she married Donald D. Kemp and he died April 8, 1986.
Surviving are three daughters and their husbands, Nancy and Raymond Harruff, Spencerville, Carla and Pat Bayman, currently of St. Marys and formerly of Celina, and Geri and Ted Roberts, Van Wert, and two daughters, Diane Joseph, Delphos, and Tracy Henman, Lima; a stepson and his wife, Michael and Marjke, The Netherlands; a stepdaughter and her husband, Cheryl and Mick McFadyen, St. Petersburg, Fla.; a sister and her husband, Ruth Ann and Richard Brownell, Lima; 16 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a sister, Clara Jean Thomas, and a great-grandchild.
She was a homemaker and had served as a volunteer for the heart and cancer funds. She attended Spencerville High School.

Elmer "Pete" Kittle
Celina -- Elmer "Pete" Kittle, 72, died Aug 8, 1998 al Lima Memorial Hospital. He was born Oct 1. 1925 in Mercer County to Forest E and Loree (Kugel) Kittle. On Dec. 23,1960 he married Ruth Florence who survives. Mr. Kittle retired as superintendent of the Mercer County Highway Department. He was a life member of the VFW Post 5713 and American Legion Post 210, both of Celina. He was also a member of Erastus United Methodist Church and the Disabled American Veterans Charter 076. He was a World War II US Army Veteran who| served in the European Theater. Survivors, also include sons, Lyle (Shirley) Kittle and Don (Brenda) Kittle of Celina; two brothers, Leonard "Kelly" (Martha Lou) Kittle and Murrel "Charlie" Kittle both of Celina; five sisters; Virginia Zumberge, Helen Hinkle. Blanche Andres and Mary Ann Kittle all of Celina, and Geraldine "Jerry" Fishbaugh of Spencerville; and 7 grandchildren and a great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by a sister Carolyn Sue Sloan. Services will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at W. H. Dick and Sons Funeral Home, Celina. The Revs. Douglas R. Meyer and Timothy Benjamin will officiate. Burial will be at Mercer Memory Gardena, Celina. Georgia A. Kittle
Rockford -- Georgia A. Kittle, 53, died at 11:40 a.m. Jan. 14, 2000, at Wood County Hospital, Bowling Green. She was born July 28, 1946, in Sullivan, Ind., to Carl Albert and Nellie Mae (Alumbaugh) Pugh, who survive. On Dec 19, 1964, she married Gordon Kittle, who survives. Mrs. Kittle was employed by Shane Hill Nursing Home. She was a member of New Horizon Church and a former member of Otterbein Church of Christ. Survivors also include two sons, Ricky (Monica) Kittle of Willshire and Travis (Brenda) Kittle of Van Wert; three brothers, Paul Kittle, John Kittle and Willard Kittle, all of Portage, Ind.; three sisters, Linda Brasser and Becky Pugh, both of Portage, Ind., and Caroline Lewis of Terre Haute, Ind.; three grandchildren and a step-granddaughter. Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Ketcham-Ripley Funeral Home, Rockford . The Rev. James Sturgeon will officiate. Burial will be in Mercer Memory Gardens, Celina. Gustov Klopfleisch Jr.
Former Celina resident Gustov Klopfleisch Jr., 77, 2452 W. Kem Road, Marion, Ind., died Feb. 23, 2003, at Alterra Sterling House, Marion.
He was born May 24, 1925, in Celina, to Gustave Sr. and Emma (Schaadt) Klopfleisch.
Surviving are a son, two daughters, a brother, and five grandchildren. Deceased are a half brother, Henry, and a sister, Elsie Hoenie.
He had worked as a meat cutter at Producers Creamery & Locker Service and Gerenís Grocery in Celina. He also was a self-employed meat cutter for many years.
A U.S. Army veteran, who served during World War II, he was a life member of the Masonic Lodge, a member of the Eastern Star Alterian Club, a member and past commander of American Legion Post 210 and a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church, all of Celina. He also was a member of the State Highway Patrol Auxiliary.
Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at the church, the Rev. Douglas Meyer officiating. Burial will follow at North Grove Cemetery, Celina. Calling is 5-8 p.m. today at Lehman Funeral Home, Celina. [Daily Standard, Feb 26, 2003]
Kristin Ann Klosterman
Kristin Ann Klosterman, 12, died of natural causes at 3 p.m. March 31 at her residence at 4424 Harrison Road, Celina.
She was born Jan. 28, 1989, in Coldwater, to Terance and Angela (Budde) Klosterman, both of whom survive.
Other survivors include two sisters, Jamie and Julie, both at home; grandparents, Elmer and Eulalia Klosterman, and William and Kathleen Freeman, all of Celina; and great-grandmothers, Margaret Pohl, Versailles, and Esther Freeman, Celina.
She was a sixth grade student at Celina Intermediate School, and was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Montezuma, and Franklin 4-H Clovers. She was Mass server at the church.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. James Dugal officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Calling is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9-10 a.m. Wednesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater. [Daily Standard, Apr 2, 2001]
