Rosemary Vagedes, 95, formerly of St. Anthony, died at 4:05 p.m. Dec. 2 at Briarwood Manor Nursing Home, Coldwater, where she resided.
She was born Nov. 3, 1906, in Celina, to Oscar and Rebecca (Barley) Browder. On Nov. 24, 1923, she married Herman Vagedes and he died March 16, 1982.
Surviving are two sons and their wives, Thomas and Gloria Vagedes and Charles and Carol Kirk, all of Coldwater; two daughters and their husbands, Charline and Victor S. May, New Weston, and Eleanor and Leo Berning, Maria Stein; 20 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchildren.
Deceased are three brothers, five sisters, a grandchild and a great-grandchild.
She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, St. Anthony, the Altar-Rosary Sodality of the church, Knights of St. John Auxiliary, Maria Stein, and the Community Hospital Respiratory Association, Coldwater.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Kenneth Alt and Deacon Greg Bornhorst officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday and after 9 a.m. Wednesday at Brockman & Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery.
St. Marys- Nadine Vorhees, 16-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Vorhees, Mendon, formerly of St. Marys, died at the family home after a brief illness. She was a sophomore in the Mendon high school. She is survived by her parents. Floyd and Camilla Kellermeyer Vorhees and six sisters. Burial in Bethel cemetery, Mercer-co. [Lima News, Apr 3, 1933]
