County Information
Founded April 1, 1820
Paulding County is located in the northwestern part of Ohio, and was located almost entirely in the Great Black Swamp.
Its western border helps form the boundary between Ohio and Indiana.

Named for John Paulding, one of the captors of Major John André, a conspirator with Gen. Benedict Arnold in the American Revolutionary War.
The county seat is Paulding.
