NOTICE--The estate of Jesse Phelps, Esq., late of Painesville, County of Geauga. Samuel W. Phelps, Adm. April 12--To Heirs, executors, etc., of John Zane, deceased, that Horation Clark Bowen, William Uruhart Bowen, and Christopeher Bowen, heirs at law of John Bowen, deceased, have deposited with the treasurer of the State of Ohio, the full amount of the redemption money, interest etc., for part of a tract of land--889 acres, No. 3469, on Rokes Creek, entered in the name of John Bowen, of which 639 acres were sold to John Zane for the tax of 1800 and 1801. Now, therefore, the heirs will proceed in the next court of common pleas, Delaware county to exhibit proof of the right of redemption. June 8.

NOTICE--"That I have located 1000 acres of land on the waters of Paint and Indian Creeks, adjoining the lands of the two Mrs. Pattons, widows of Messrs. William and John Patton, deceased; of Peter Muhlenberg; James Crawford; Mr. Lumback; and other, on their west lines, and extending well purchasers under the sales made by my father....any persons trespassing or cutting timber from the premises will be made to account for so doing without descrimination. (*Mar 31)--Departed this life on the 28th ult. after a long and painful illness, Mrs. Ann Stockton, in the 56th year of her age.--At Portland (Vt.) on the 13th ult. Mrs. Ann Prentiss, consort of John Prentiss, Esq., of that place, in the 60th year of her age. (*Age 7)--Obituary-same (*May 6).--Obit: Departed this life on the 13th of August Mrs. Mathilda Lawson, aged 37, consort of Jeremiah Lawson, Esq., late of Lebanon, Warren county, Ohio; now in Upper Louisiana, District of Cape Girardeau, Tawappity twp--35 miles above the mouth of the Ohio. She left a husband and four young children in a wil and almost uninhabited wilderness seated on the banks of the Mississippi. (*Sept 15)--In this town, on Monday evening last, after a short but severe illness, James Crockwell, in the 27th year of his age.--On Sunday last, Mrs. Trimble, consort of Mr. John Trimble, of Ross county. DIED--On Friday the 26th ult. Mrs. Margaret Wolf, consort of Mr. J. Wolf of this place, in the 26th year of her age, leaving husband and three children. (*Jan 24)--On Wednesday last of pulmonary disease, Mr. Isaac Cook of this town, in the 53d year, leaving a widow and a large family. (*Feb 7)--On Thursday last, after a short illness, Mr. William Long, of this county, in the 80th year of his age. The deceased was one of the earliest settlers in this part of the country. On Saturday last, after an illness of two weeks, Mr. Matthew Long, son of the above, in the 34th year of his age. He usually resided in the neighborhood of Columbus, but was on a visit to Ross county when attacked. He leaves a widow and four small children.--On Sunday last, in the 44th year, Mrs. Mary Cook, of this place.--At Charleston, S. C. on the 1st of March Rev. Philander Chase, lately of Zanesville, and the son of Bishop Chase of St. Clairsville, Ohio. (*April 8)--Of pulmonary disease, at his residence in Huntington twp, on Thursday last, at his residence in Concord twp., after a short but painfull illness, Mr. Hugh Stewart, in the 67th year of his age. His remains were interred on his farm on the day following. (*May 6)--On Tuesday morning last, after a short illness, Alison C. Looker, Esq., in the 33d year of his age. He was a native of New Jersey, and lately, was a representative from Ross county to the General Assembly. (*July 26)

Chillicothe, O., Feb 3 -
The eight year-old son of Thomas Ford was instantly killed near Bainbridge, O., by falling under a Duluth Southern freight train which he and some companions tried to board at a crossing. His head and both arms were cut off.
