Obituary
of Dr. Peter W. Lee The
Alliance Review, Alliance, OH, Wednesday, February 27, 1907
Dr. T. {P. for Peter}} W. Lee died at his home near North Benton
on Saturday morning at 9 o'clock after a long illness from a
complication of diseases.
Deceased was born near New Alexander, Columbiana Co, on December
11, 1829. He was a student under Dr. Carey of Salem and later received a
diploma from the Cincinnati College of Medicine. Soon after graduating
he began to practice his profession at Carrollton, and later in life
practiced at Essex and La Rue in the western part of Ohio. Some years
ago he came to North Benton and practiced for a short time when he
retired to his farm near by and remained there until the close of life.
He is survived by a family of five daughters and one son. He was
a member of the Presbyterian church and for many years was an elder in
that body. He was a man of deep learning and highly esteemed by all who
knew him. The funeral will be held from the late home on Tuesday at 10 o'clock a.m. and later at the church in North Benton. Submitted

Canton, Ohio, Dec 14. On Dec 7, Jos Augustine young man, son of Mr.
Baltzer Augustine, of Oznaburg township, was killed whilst creeping
under the bellows in Congress Furnace; caught by the stirrup, his head

Mrs
Mary Weller was born in
Frederick County, Maryland, April 13th AD 1802,
and died her
death. Before she was
married, she moved to the State of County,
near April,
AD 1820. She joined the in
husband

In 1853 she was left a widow again by the death of her second
husband.
There
was born to her ten children, seven of whom survive her.
She has eighty-three
grand children, twenty-one of whom are dead, and fifty-nine great grand
children, ten of whom are dead.

is due to say of the deceased by the writer that he served as pastor
of Weller
was an attentive hearer of the gospel and when visited by her pastor
she was
kind and unassuming.
On
the 14th day of April at John’s
Church and placed in front of the pulpit.
After a discourse was delivered by
the writer from these words, “She is not dead, but sleepeth.”
Luke 8-52 The
house was crowded and the audience gave undivided attention to the preached
word. It is our heart’s
desire and prayer to God that all the bereaved friends
and relatives who gave such marked attention may from this time
forward prepare
to meet Mother Weller on
