Hi, I am trying to trace
one of my ancestors, Kettie SeLegue. She was listed on the 1900 census as age
17, laundress, living with her mother, Mary Selegue, Fred Barber (boarder),
sister Inez Selegue (11), brother Walter Selegue (13). She isn’t on the
1910 census, so, I assume that she must have married. Do you know the
name of the local Catholic Church or have access to
marriage records?

I am looking for LESLIE family information. Jacob & Samuel are listed one
above the other on the 1840 census for Northfield, Summit County. I need to
know how they were related, if possible. I have most of Jacob's family tree
brought up to the present, but any information about them would be
appreciated.
That Samuel was married to Zulema Spafford in Summit County. They had three
sons, William, James D. and Nathan Spafford Leslie. I have no information on
them except census reports.
I am a great great granddaughter of Jacob Leslie & his first wife, who died in
PA before the family moved to Ohio. Their son, Samuel was my great
grandfather. I know Samuel was married at least three times, any information
from other wives families would be appreciated. His first wife was Clara
Olivia Brooks, daughter of Pardon & Hudla Lillie Brooks, they had a son,
George B. Leslie, buried at Independence IA. , His second wife was Sophia
Pierce, daughter of Marinus and Mary"Polly" Pierce, they had a daughter, Adella
or Adelia. No idea where they are buried. There is then a marriage in 1862
to Phebe Ann Cook in Summit County. I do not know if this is my great
grandfather or the other Samuel who was about 10 years older. Samuel married
Lucia Augusta Pearsall( daughter of Horace B. and Loana Walker Pearsall) in
January of 1864, they had 6 sons and 3 daughters.
Jacob was the father of William Leslie (married to Maria Thompson) Joseph
Scroggs Leslie (not married), John Leslie( married to Elizabeth Pearsall),
James Leslie (married to Mary Bliss) , Samuel Leslie, Eliza Ann Leslie
(married John C. Ray), Sarah Isabel Leslie (married to James Templeton
Torrence), Mary Logue Leslie (married to T. Benton Wade) and Martha Janette
Leslie (married to Hugh Humphrey). The will of James Leslie mentions the
headstones of his wife Mary and Emma Wilson Leslie. I do not know if Emma was
a 1st wife of James.
If anyone else is researching this family or it's collateral lines, please
get in touch with me.
