Obit: MRS. JENNIE McLEAN DEAD

Mrs. Jennie Rowlee McLean passed away at the home of her son, Robert H. McLean, Thursday at 11:45 p.m., July 14th, after a prolonged illness during which time she had received the most expert medical attention and care, but which failed to stay the fatal progress of her ailment.

Mrs. McLean's death will bring profound sorrow to the entire community where she had lived for 38 years and mingled with her townspeople in their church, social and other activities.

She was a daughter of B. Franklin Rowlee and Ellen Sadler Rowlee.  She was born in Johnston, July 4th 1867, and was 65 years and 10 days of age. She was united in marriage to David H. McLean, Oct. 30, 1884. She is survived by daughters, Mrs. W.B. Davis and Miss Eva of Kinsman; sons George R. of Warren and Robert H. of Kinsman. Her husband died one and a half years ago.  She is also survived by six grand children, and brothers Seth Rowlee of Bloomfield and Robert Rowlee of Greene.

She was a member of the C.&P. Church, the Eastern Star and Bay View literary club, in all of which she was an active and valuable member.  Her deepest interest and affection centered in her duties as a wife and mother, in which capacity she nobly performed her part.  It is sad to realize she could not longer have been spared to enjoy the blessings to which she had so lovingly contributed.

Funeral services were held at the home, Rev. D.H. Cramer preaching the sermon in most praiseworthy and deserving terms.  There was a profusion of flowers from many relatives, friends and organizations as evidences of love and esteem.

The bearers were Dr. Clisby, J.B. Johnston, Allie Learnerd,
J.B. Burnside, Frank Burnham, W.A. Solen.

Interment was in the family lot in Kinsman cemetery.

Out of town attendants at the services were Miss Lucy Terrell, Cleveland; Mr. and Mrs. W.A. Solen, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Collins, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Musser, Atty. and Mrs. G.H. Birrell, Esther Fee, Miss Anna Quinn, Miss Bessie Harrison, Miss Erma Alcom, Mrs. Bert  Wonders, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Reynolds, Mr. and Mrs. Jason McLean, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Rice, Warren;  Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Boice, Akron;  Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Lewis, Miss Agnes Stirling, Miss Rachel Shafer, Miss Helen Fawcettt, Miss Harriet Kistler, Erie;  Mrs. Wm. H. Rice, Miss Mary Rice, Meadville;  Seth Rowlee and family, S.T. Caulfield and family, Everett McLean and family, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Nelson, Mrs. Hattie Waters, Mrs. Burt Russell, Mr. and Mrs. Deo Reynolds, Mrs. Lottie Reynolds, Robert Rowlee and family, Mr. and Mrs. N.W. Cresser, Bloomfield;  Mrs. and Mrs. John Burnside, Pittsburgh;  Mr. and Mrs. Frank Burnham, Ashtabula;  Mr. and Mrs. Dennison, Mr. Horton, Greene;  Mr. and Mrs. LeViere McCurdy, Sharon;  Mr. and Mrs. Grove Root, Howland;  Mr. and Mrs. C.A. Wolcott, Arcadia, Calif.

Respectfully and lovingly submitted as published in
