OBSERVE GOLDEN WEDDING EVENT -- Children and Grandchildren of Mr. and Mrs. David Buchs All Present
Mr. and Mrs. David Buchs celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary at their home Sunday April 20, with their children present. A pot luck dinner for the family was held at 12 o'clock noon. Mr. Buchs was born in Alsace, Lorraine and is 78 years old. Mrs. Buchs was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and is 66 years old. They were married April 23, 1891 at St. Mary's Catholic church, Edgerton, O.
Mr. and Mrs. Buchs are parents of twelve children, including Mrs. Echo Rohrbaugh, John Buchs, Michael Buchs, Fred Buchs, Mrs. Fred Jerger, Alonzo Buchs, all of Edgerton; August Buchs, Rockwood, Mich.; Mrs. Earl Davis, Mrs. Albert Weber and Mrs. Herman Kruse, of Toledo; and Frederick Buchs of Rockwood, Mich.; one daughter deceased and fifteen grandchildren.
Mr. and Mrs. Buchs received some very lovely gifts and numerous bouquets of flowers from their friends and neighbors. [The Edgerton Earth Thursday, April 24, 1941]

The sixteenth annual reunion of the Hopkins Family Society, occurs this year August 19 or the second Thursday in August 1916 at Edgerton as usual, where a suitable place will be provided in our lovely park, and should the weather happen to be unfavorable, can retreat to the opera house. Ninetieth Birthday: Mrs. Anna Oxenrider celebrated her 90th birthday Monday. Mrs. Oxenrider, who is an invalid, has lived with her daughter, Mrs. Ray Peyton the past five years. Mr. and Mrs. Peyton are proud to have given her tender and loving care at her sunset in life. Mrs. Oxenrider is one of the pioneers of this county. She enjoyed the day visiting with friends and shared her birthday cake with them. Mrs. Oxenrider received gifts, a large number of cards, letters and plants and remembered by the U.
