State Solon Asphyxiated
Caddo County Politician Overcome by Gas - H. J. Yeager of Tulsa Spread the Alarm and Barely Escapes.

Guthrie, Feb. 10 -- State Senator
H. J. Yeager, is in a critical condition and Senator George Johnson of Fort Cobb is dead from being asphyxiated by gas.
Yeager and Johnson roomed together, and early this morning Johnson arose and lighted a gas jet and returned to bed. The flame went out and Yeager was awakened about 8 o'clock by Johnson's groans. Almost overcome he hammered on the door and awakened other roomers who broke in. Johnson was unconscious and died in a few minutes. Yeager is badly affected but will recover.
Johnson was 62 years of age and a practicing physician for forty years. -
