Mickiel J. Woods died Saturday, November 9, 1940 from a heart attack while he was seated at the table eating his breakfast.  Funeral services were held at the Nazarene church at 2 p.m. Tuesday with Reb. R. L. Campbell, the pastor, officiating.  Internment was in the Steamboat Springs cemetery.  He is survived by two sons and two daughters.  Mrs. Harry Miller and W. J. Woods, both of Noble, Illinois and Virgil Woods and Hazel Woods both of Steamboat Springs.  There are six grandchildren, Gene and Jack Miller; Billie Mae, Dale, Nedra and Donald Woods also one brother, Andrew Woods of Chandler, Okla., and other relatives.  M. J. Woods was born, September 4, 1880 at Raleigh, Mo.  He went with his parents to Melbourne, Ark., when he was very young.  He was united in marriage to Effie Luella McDonald and they had five children.  His wife died March 29, 1933, at Cement, Okla.  One of the children died at the age of three.  Mr. Woods moved to Routt county in 1937, making his home with his children here.
