Jack L. Allen
Funeral services for State Trooper Jack L.
Allen, 63, of Lexington were held Thursday, July 28, 2005, at
Wadley's Funeral Chapel with the Reverend Jeff Pierce and the
Reverend Sam Garner officiating. Interment will be at Hillside
Cemetery in Purcell under the direction of Wadley's Funeral Service
in Purcell. Mr. Allen died July 24, 2005, at Norman Regional
Hospital. He was born March 21, 1942, in Wichita Falls, Texas, the
son of Everett Doyle and Anna Caddell Allen. He graduated from Ada
High School and attended East Central University in Ada. He had
lived in Lexington since 1967, coming from Ada. Mr. Allen married
Joye Jay Aug. 7, 1986 in Oklahoma City. He worked for the Ada Police
Department for one year, then joined the Oklahoma Highway Patrol,
retiring in 1986. After retiring he worked for the Purcell Police
Department as assistant police chief for 3-1/2 years, Lexington
Police Department for 2-1/2 years, Joseph Harp Correctional Center
for 1-1/2 years and Cedar Creek Nursing Home as maintenance
supervisor for 2-1/2 years. Mr. Allen was a member of the Troopers
Associaton and the National Rifle Association. He was preceded in
death by his parents; one brother, Paul Allen and a stepdaughter,
Glenda Marie. Survivors include his wife, Joye Allen, of the home;
two sons, Carl Allen and his wife, Renee, and Joe Allen and his
fiance, Tina Gregory, both of Ada; one daughter, Bobbie Jean Wyatt
and her husband, Terry, of Luther; three sisters, Gail Hammond and
her husband, Don, of Shawnee, Judy Dooley and her husband, Bob, of
Cushing and Carolyn Carwell and her husband, Mark, of New Hampshire;
a sister-in-law, Della C. Allen of Bloomingdale, Ill., and four
grandchildren.

Funeral services for Edna Alene McGee Barnes, 91, Rosedale, OK, were
held Sept. 17, 2007 at Rosedale Baptist Church with the Rev. Kent
Wooster officiating. Interment was under the direction of
Wilson-Little Funeral Home, Purcell. Mrs. Barnes died at the
Lexington Nursing Home.
One of 13 children of Samuel Thomas McGee and Sarah Ellison McGee,
early Oklahoma pioneers, she was reared in Okemah where she
graduated from high school in 1934. A graduate of East Central
College, Ada, OK, she received her degree in elementary education
and began teaching at Rosedale Elementary School, Rosedale, McClain
Co., OK. It was there that she met her husband, Orel Clarence
Barnes, and they were married Aug. 30, 1940 in Ada.
Her teaching career spanned 33 years, including 15 years in
Rosedale, Blanchard, Middleburg, Noble, Pauls Valley and Lindsay,
OK. In 1957, Mr. Barnes's job moved them to Baytown, TX, where she
taught 18 years at Stephen F. Austin Elementary School.
A member of Rosedale Baptist Church, she was preceded in death by
her parents; her husband, Orel Sept. 5, 2003 and 12 brothers and
sisters.
Survivors include sons, Joe Barnes, Rosedale, and James Barnes and
his wife, Betty, Angel Fire, N.M.; 6 grandchildren; 10
great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Tommy Barnes, Brent Holt, James Swain, David
Osborne, Tracy Boles and Justin Boles.

Funeral services for Gary R. Bebout, 54, of Norman were held Aug.
19, 2006 at Union Hill Baptist Church in Purcell with the Rev. Barry
McConathy officiating. Interment was at Hillside Cemetery in Purcell
under the direction of Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell.
Mr. Bebout died Aug. 16, 2006 following a boating accident at Lake
Thunderbird.
He was born Feb. 16, 1952 in Blythe, Calif., a twin, and the 11th of
12 children of John Howard Bebout and Nina Lee Roten Bebout. He was
reared on a dairy farm in the Fairview community southwest of
Purcell, attending Wayne Public Schools, graduating in the class of
1970.
Mr. Bebout worked as a mechanic most of his life. For the past 20
years he participated in boat racing and was a member of the OKC Jet
Boat Association.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Ken Bebout;
one sister, Joyce Murray; two nephews, Tim and Jeff and one
great-nephew, Austin VanWinkle.
Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Glenna Bebout, of the home
in Norman; two sons, Brandon Bebout and his wife, Lindsay, and Bobby
Bebout and his wife, Jackie, all of Tulsa; two daughters, Kim Lemons
and her husband, Jerry, of Lawton and Kelli Stanfield and her
husband, Wendell, of Moore; six brothers, John Bebout and his wife,
Edna, of Payson, Ariz., Boyd Bebout and his wife, Lawana, Dennis
Bebout and Larry Bebout, all of Purcell, Don Bebout and his wife,
Peggy, of Wayne and Dale Bebout and his wife, Marilyn, of
Washington; three sisters, Martha George and her husband, Lowell,
and Linda Womack, all of Purcell, and Diane Garrett and her husband,
Carl, of Bartlesville and five grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Joe Farrell and Boyd, Don, Dale, Dennis and Larry
Bebout.
Honorary pallbearers were Brian Andrews, Lowell George, Jimmy Hill,
Tim Case, Tim Lovin, Joe Spencer, Steve Yeager, Brian Geist, Wayne
Kokendoffer, Bruce Hunter and Kevin Helm.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the giver's choice.

Bennie Charles Bell

Bennie Charles Bell, 69, of Moore died Monday, June 26. Graveside
services will be 11 a.m. today at Hillside Cemetery, Purcell.
Services are under the direction of the John M. Ireland Funeral Home
-- Chapel, Moore.
Mr. Bell was born June 9, 1937, in Purcell, to James and Stella
Bell. He served his country in the U.S. Army. He worked at Tinker
Air Force Base for over 30 years. He enjoyed working on computers
and doing genealogy, but his first love was his family.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Twila Bell; sons Michael
Bell of Moore and Steven Bell and fiance' Karen Babcock of Norman;
eight grandchildren, Brandon Babcock, Tyler, Twyla, William and
Steven Jr. Bell, Sophie and Reva Wooters and William Taylor; two
sisters, Chessteen Olsen and husband Alvin of Lexington and Wanda
Ward of Purcell.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.

Donnie Lee, son of A. E. and Jewell Black, died on June 6th, 1958 as
the result of a drowning accident while fishing. He had just
graduated Lindsay Highschool and was of the Methodist faith.
In addition to his parents, Donnie leaves to mourn his passing his
grandfather, Sam S. Black, of Lexington, and other relatives and
friends.

Lavona Brown-Hutton of Purcell passed away in Norman April 2, 2009.
She was 73. Lavona was born to Howard McCall and Lorene Berry in
Wanette, OK on November 23, 1935. She graduated from Washington High
School in May 1953. She married the late Elmer Roy Brown January 24,
1956 they had one son, Rodney Wayne Brown. As a family they enjoyed
many summer trips to Colorado, camping and fishing. She loved the
outdoors, gardening and decorating her home. Lavona touched many
people with her sweet demeanor. Virtually everyone who knew her says
she's the sweetest woman they have ever met. Several years after the
death of her husband she married the late Buster Bill Hutton of
Frederick, OK. She is preceded in death by her parents, Howard &
Lorene McCall and her husband, Elmer Roy Brown. She is survived by
her son and daughter-in-law, Rodney and Pam Brown of Norman brother,
Dr. Jerry Don McCall and wife Vicki of Purcell grandchildren:
Lindsay Brown, Nicholas Brown, Jordan Brown and great-granddaughter,
Kellie Le'Ann McCracken, all of Norman niece, Rhonda Lovett of Tulsa
nephews: Bryan McCall of New York, Scott Brown of Sulphur, OK and
Dale Brown of Dallas TX. Services are Tuesday, April 7, 2009 at 2pm,
Wadley's Funeral Chapel, 303 West Washington, Purcell OK. Interment
will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Purcell, OK.

Jewel Margaret Guess Cardinal
Jewell Cardinal, 93, of Lexington died Thursday, July 10, at the
Carl Albert Indian Hospital in Ada. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday
at Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at the
Hillside Cemetery in Purcell under the direction of Wilson-Little
Funeral Home of Purcell.
Jewell Margaret Guess was born July 13, 1914, in Kingston, to Emmet
Guess and Willie May (Crabtree) Guess.
She is survived by son Leo Cardinal Jr.; daughters Carmen Bishop and
Delores Mitchell; sister Jean Duvall; brothers Ernest Guess and
Merle Guess; 10 grandchildren,19 great-grandchildren and many
great-greats; and other family and friends.

William Carl "Bill" Crane
Funeral services for William Carl "Bill" Crane, 59, of Shawnee will
be held today (Thursday), Feb. 13, 2003 at Wilson-Little Funeral
Home Chapel with the Rev. Tim McGoo officiating. Interment will be
at Hillside Cemetery with Navy honors under the direction of
Wilson-Little Funeral Home in Purcell.
Mr. Crane died Feb. 9, 2003 at the O.U. Medical Center in Oklahoma
City.
He was born Nov. 26, 1943 in Davis, the third of four children born
to Noah Crane and Viola (Stribling) Crane. He was reared in Davis,
graduating from Davis High School.
Mr. Crane joined the United States Navy Nov. 28, 1960 and was
honorably discharged July 15, 1966. He then returned to Oklahoma and
lived in Ardmore and Davis.
He worked as a welder for a trailer company in Springer for several
years.
Mr. Crane married Ladascode "Lou" Collins Dec. 28, 1989 in
Lexington.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Billy Crane and a
sister, Marie Mediola.
Survivors include his wife, Ladascode "Lou" Crane, of the home; two
sons, Christopher Bryant Crane of Tahlequah and Alfred C. Medina of
Baltimore, Md.; one brother, Bobby Joe Crane of Phoeniz, Ariz.; one
sister, Dorothy Jones and her husband, Billy Ray, of Wynnewood and
two grandchildren.
