Henry Star Defendant in Suit for Divorce

Sapulpa, Okla., March 24 - Henry Starr, noted Oklahoma bandit, for whose capture dead or alive the state recently offered a reward of $1,000, was Wednesday made the defendant in a divorce suit here. His wife, Belle Starr, alleges desertion and non-support.

Authorities do not know where they can reach the bandit to serve the summons. It was thought several months ago that he was hiding in the Osage hills, but searching parties who have scoured the wild mountainous country deny that he can be found there. It was reported that Starr was in Sapulpa in disguise in an effort to effect a reconciliation with his wife, but authorities brand this as false. (The daily Ardmoreite, March 25, 1915)
