Garvin County, Oklahoma Historical Places

Garvin County Courthouse at Pauls Valley is listed as an Historical Site on November 8, 1985 located at Courhouse Square and Grant Avenue The Murray-Lindsay Manor is listed as a Historical Site.  Was originally built in 1871. The Santa Fe Depot of Lindsay (Territorial Era Santa Fe Depots in South Central Oklahoma) at 110 North Main  was listed as a historical site on April 25, 1986. The Wiley Post Museum is listed as an historical site.


The Moore-Settle House was built around 1899 for W. F. Moore, a prominent Wynnewood, Oklahoma business man.  The home was purchased in 1917 by Dr. W. E. Settle.  The home was built by A. J. Barrett a local architect.  It is one of the best Queen Ann Style Homes.  It is located at 508 E. Cherokee in Wynnewood, Oklahoma.  It was listed in the National Register on March 25, 1983

Elmore City: Antioch Dependent School District #15, .5 mile West of Jct. of Antioch Road and SH-74 was listed on December 6, 2004.

Erin Springs Mansion, South of Washita River was listed on June 22, 1970

Hoover vicinity:  Fort Arbuckle Site, approximately .5 mile North of Hoover was listed June 13, 1972.

The Pauls Valley Historic District, roughly bounded by the railroad tracks, Grant Avenue and Joy Street was listed February 1, 1979. 

  In Wynnewood the Eskridge Hotel at 114 East Robert S. Kerr was listed on October 3, 1979.

The Hargis-Mitchell-Cochran House at 205 East Robert S. Kerr in Wynnewood was listed June 2, 1982.
