EVANS NASH DEAD AT 75; ROSARY TODAY

Rosary for Evans A. Nash, 75, of 6607 Grand Blvd., who died Monday, will be at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Hahn-Cook Funeral Home.  Mass will be at 9:30a.m. Wednesday at Christ the King Catholic Church with burial in Rose Hill Mausoleum.  Nash was born in St. Joseph, Mo., and attended St. Mary;s College, St. Marys, Kan.  He was a certified public accountant and a member of the Downtown Kiwanis Club, Oklahoma City Golf Country Club and Men's Dinner Club.  He was a former president of the Yellow Transit Co., past president of the Associated Motor Carriers of Oklahoma and a member of the national chamber of commerce, which he served as a director six years.  He belonged to the American Institute of Accountants, the Oklahoma Society of Certified Public Accountants and had been an associate director of the Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce, director and vice president of the American Trucking Association, and the Oklahoma Water Development Association.  Nash served as director in the office of defense transportation, member of the rail-truck coordinating committee of the Office of Price Administration, the advisory committee for common carriers, and was an industry member of the trucking panel of the National War Labor Board.  Survivors include his wife, Nancy.

The announcement is made of the marriage of Miss Lola C. Garrison and Mr. Gelix Grundy Offutt, of this city, which took place December 5 in the home of the bride's mother, Mrs. L. B. Garrison in Amarillo, Texas.  Mr. Offutt is the brother of Mrs. Evans A. Nash and Mr. Joseph E. Offutt, returned immediately to Kelly Air Field where he is stationed in military service.  Mrs. Offutt will remain with her mother in Amarillo, until more definate plans are made.

Mrs.Offutt, 76, Dies in Hospital
Mrs. Pearl B. Offutt, 76, long-time Oklahoma City resident, of 1428 N.E. 12, died Wednesday of a heart condition in a local hospital.  She had been in ill health for several years.  Born in Platte County, Mo., Mrs. Offutt came to Oklahoma City in 1912 and had lived here ever since.  Her late husband, who died in 1936, was in the feed and seed business here for many years and was one of the first city councilmen.  She was a member of the Capitol Presbyterian church, and in her younges years participated in church work and activities.  Survivors include a son, Robert B. Offhtt, 3336 NW 25; a step daughter, Mrs. Harry Zeugener, Syland N.C.; a sister, Mrs. R. H. Gott, Henryetta, Mo., and three grandchildren.  Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in the Watts funeral chapel, with burial in Memorial Park cemetery.
