Mrs. Brooks
ELDER'S WIFE DIES
Dr. L. Walter Nine, pastor of the First United Brethren Church, received word Friday from Dr. C.M. Brooke of Perkins, Oklahoma, telling of the death of Mrs. Brooks early Thursday morning. Dr. Brooks is the presiding elder of the east district of the Oklahoma United Brethren conference. No arrangements for funeral services have been made yet, further than that Dr. Brooke as telegraphed to Bishop W.M. Weekly of Kansas City, asking him to officiate at the services.

George Washington Raffety
George Washington Raffety was born December 10, 1865, in Howell County, Mo., and passed away October 21, 1952, at the age of 86 years, 10 months, 11 days at a hospital in Cushing where he had been since receiving a broken hip in an auto collision October 5. In 1887 he was married to Lorena Inman and to this union was born four boys and three girls. D. E. Raffety, Smartsville, Calif.; C. E. Raffety, Indo, Calif.; L. E. Raffety, Carter Nine, Okla.; and E. L. Raffety, Ralston, Mrs. Orville Combs, Marysville, Calif.; Mrs. Ray Kemp, Ada, Okla.; and Mrs. H. C. Cook, Shawnee, Okla. In 1908 he brought his family to Oklahoma. His wife passed away in 1916. He came to Ralston from Cushing about nine years ago. Funeral services were held at the Davis Funeral Home in Cushing, Thursday, Raffety October 23. He was buried beside his wife at Joplin, Mo. on Friday. Besides the sons and daughters he leaves to mourn his passing 34 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, a brother A. E. Raffety, Colorado Springs, Colo.; one sister, Mrs. Mary Rookstool,
Springfield, Mo. Those from Ralston who attended the funeral for Mr. Raffety Thursday were Mr. and Mrs. Walter Barnes, Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Queen, Mrs. Henry Robinson, Mrs. Joe Henkel, and Mrs. J. R. Welker.

Aaron James Leaverton
Stillwater, Feb. 12--Funeral services for Aaron James Leaverton, 90, long-time Payne county chairman of the Farmers Union will be at 2p.m. Tuesday in the Strode funeral chapel.  Burial will be at Waukee, Iowa.  Leaverton died Saturday in Stillwater Municiap hospital.  He was born January 13, 1866 in Adel, Iowa, and married Elizabeth T. Strathen at Des Monines in 1898.  They came to Oklahoma in 1907, settling in Cotton county.  They moved to Payne county in 1820, living on a farm near Perkins, and came to Stillwater in 1927.  Following his wife's death in 1928, Leaverton married Flora J. Elledge at Anthony, Kansas on October 12, 1929.  In addition to serving many years as Farmers Union chariman, he was in the furniture business in Stillwater before his retirement.  He was a member of the First Methodist church.  Surviving are his wife: one daughter, Mrs. Ivy Petticord, Des Moines; one son, Dale J. Leaverton, Tulsa: one step-son, James A. Leaverton, Stillwater; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; one brother, John D. Leaverton, Des Moines, and one sister, Mrs. Mattie Buiton, Adel, Iowa.

Mrs. Anna Rorabuagh
Perry (Bureau)--Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Parker funeral home for Mrs. Anna Margaret Rorabaugh, 71, who was fatally injured Thursday when struck by a Santa Fe freight train near the Perry water and light plant.  Mrs. Roabaugh was born in Concordia, Kansas, and was married here in 1912 to Cleve Rorabuagh who died in 1933.  The couple lived on a farm near Perry until 1930 when they moved into Perry.  She had been a Noble County since 1898.  Survivors are a son, Elmer Rorabugh, Perry; a daughter, Mrs. Anna Craig, Seattle Washington; a sister, Mrs. Jesse Wakeman, and a brother Frank Jandera both of Perry; and two grandchildren.
