Pushmataha County Oklahoma Obits

DAVENPORT, L. P.
Hugo, Ok., Oct. 28 - Funeral services for L. P. Davenport, 62 years old, County Judge of Pushmataha County and one of the best known men in this section of Oklahoma, who died at Antlers Monday evening will be held there on Wednesday morning. Judge Davenport had been in failing health for ten months. He came to the Indian Territory from Arkansas in 1890 and settled at Antlers.
Before Statehood he took an active interest in Democratic politics and was a delegate to every Democratic convention save one. He was a Deputy United States Marshal for a number of years and was Mayor of Antlers. He has been County Judge most of the time since Statehood.

JOHNSON, TOM
Antlers, Ok., Aug. 25 (AP) - Tom Johnson, 63, veteran Pushmataha County legislator and one of the so called "four horsemen" of the impeachment proceedings involving Gov. Henry S. Johnston, died at his home here Tuesday.

Lloyd D. Wilson
CANTON (Illinois) - Lloyd D. Wilson, 75, of 202 W. Oak died at 12:27 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 3, 1998, at Graham Hospital Extended Care.
Born Jan. 13, 1923, in Baggs, Okla., to Edward and Martha Hankins Wilson, he married Mary Hooper. He later married Florence Smith on Jan. 14, 1961, in Canton. She survives. Also surviving are two sons, Lloyd Jr. of Bardolph and Randy of Vermont, Ill.; one daughter, Janet Utsinger of Galesburg; one brother, Glenn of Tulsa, Okla.; two sisters, Edna Reed of Oregon state and Nanny Ralls of Mustang, Iowa; one niece, Shannin McAllister of Canton, whom he raised; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Four brothers and four sisters preceded him in death. He worked at Perkins Gardens in rural Canton and later was a drill press operator at International Harvester. He was a member of Loyal Order of the Moose 784. Services will be at
noon Friday at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home, Canton. The Rev. Michael Stein will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before services at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Macomb.
