HUGHES: I am searching for the family of my gg-grandfather MILES HUGHES, a Confederate soldier from Fannin County, Georgia, who appears in the 1900 census of Thomas, Custer County, Oklahoma, with wife Sarah Hughes, born Ky. 1865. In the 1910 census, Sarah Hughes is living with her brother, A.C. Plummer, and has two children: Frances Winona Hughes, b. 1903, and Philip Hughes, b. 1906. Sarah is buried at Thomas, Ok. I would like to find what happened to the two children, Frances and Philip Hughes. Any information about them will be much appreciated. Please respond directly to me at ssulivan@Windstream.net. GOOD FAMILY
My Good family are descendents of William H. Good, who was born in North Carolina.
The names I found in a funeral home listing were sons of John Riffile Good (one of William's sons):
Ray or Roy, born in MO about 1896-- Raymond Roy Good = Vol 2:156
William Homer born in MO about 1893 - Homer William Vol 2:74
Step-brothers of the Good boys were named Mabe(s) and I have found their 1917 registrations in Oklahoma.
