Mike Buczinski, 88 year old long time Woodward resident died Sunday March 15, 2009 in the Grace Living Center. Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday March 18, 2009 at Elmwood Cemetery with the Reverend Tony Barros officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of the Billings Funeral Home. Michael Vernon Buczinski was born on March 23, 1920 at the family home in Woodward, County to Joseph Herman and Lorena Annetta (Wright) Buczinski. Mike attended several rural country schools. Mike was united in marriage to Letha Mae Sober on June 1, 1940 in Harmon, Oklahoma. Mike and Letha made their home in Woodward for the next 66 and one half years. Mike owned and operated Mike Buczinski Auto Sales of Woodward. Mike always made sure his family had something to drive. Mike enjoyed working in the yard with Letha and they received the Yard of The Month award several times. Mike was especially devoted to his loving wife Letha throughout their marriage.He is survived by sixteen nieces and nephews; two sisters-in-law, June Sober of Woodward, and June Buczinski of Great Bend, Kansas; one brother-in-law, Jerry Sober of Wyoming; and several other family members and friends.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Lorena Buczinski, his wife Letha on December 9, 2006, one sister, Helen Marie Lawson, and two brothers, George and Lawerence
