Genealogy Trails - Coos County, Oregon       1855 Jury Candidate List for Coos (and Curry) Counties Transcribed by Robyn Greenlund from Photos provided by Andie Jensen Coos, and what later became Curry, county was settled in the early 1850's, but there was no census taken until 1860. The early jury lists for the county provide an alternative way to identify who was living in the area. Because of the variant spellings, and the common use of just initials for first names, I have added the names of people who are also found on the 1860 US Federal Census to this list.
