Hannum-Cook Nuptials

On Wednesday at high noon, at the New Palace hotel, a wedding ceremony was performed that united in matrimony two of our well known and best esteemed young people, Mr. Edward F. Hannum and Miss Lulu Cook.

The handsomely furnished parlor of the hotel was the scene of the happy event and about 30 guests, consisting of the families of Miss Cook and Mr. Hannum and their immediate friends were present to witness the ceremony.

A few minutes after 12 o'clock, the bridal party entered the room and, taking their position under a pendant bough of mistletoe, the happy couple were united by Judge Axtell in an impressive ceremony.

At 2 o'clock an elaborate and appetizing repast was served to the company in the dining room of the hotel.  The long table was burdened with the most tempting viands and to all those who appreciate the beauties of the culinary art, the dinner was one to be thoroughly appreciated.

The bride is the daughter of S. H. Cook of Kubli, one of our pioneers.  Both of the young people were born in southern Oregon and each has hosts of friends who wish them the most unalloyed happiness in their new life.
